“Thank you, guys, but I want you to know that I’m going to keep going to school. I don’t intend to stop—especially not now when my studies are going so well. I want our baby to know their parents can do anything, so I’ll work even harder now to make my dream come true.
“And this is one of the reasons why I love you so much,” Caleb said with pride in his eyes. “You’re so strong and determinate and you never give up.”
“Just like you, guys. You’re brave, strong, and kind. You’re the best.”
Trent kissed me, his tongue giving me a slow burn, and I realized that our dinner would grow cold if we kept doing this.
“Come on.” I separated myself from them unwillingly and pulled them with me out of the room. “There is a delicious dinner waiting for you, and I won’t be satisfied until you eat it all.” I winked at them and swayed my hips while I walked, wanting to seduce them.
Their groans followed me, and I chuckled. They were so cute.
“So what do you think? Is it a boy or girl?” Caleb asked me.
“If it’s a girl she’ll definitely be like Bree.”
“And if it’s a boy? Then what?”
I looked between them, amused with how serious they were about this.
“Does it matter?” I asked them.
“Of course it does! I’m prettier than him!” Caleb exclaimed, pointing his thumb at Trent.
I shook my head, shaking with laughter.
“You wish! I’m the hottest one here,” Trent threw back at him.
I approached them and put my hands on their cheeks. “Guys. I’m starving. How about we leave this ‘discussion’ for another day?”
“Yeah, fine. But if it’s a boy, he’ll probably look like me,” Caleb continued and sat down at the table.
I smiled, feeling my heart swell with love. They were something else indeed.

“I can't believe you did it again,” my uncle said, his hands trembling from all of his pent-up rage. He was pacing again, I fucking hated when he paced. Reminded me of my father, all those years ago.
“It wasn't that big of a deal.”
He turned on me, I could see the veins pulsing in his temple. “It wasn't that big of a deal? Are you kidding me? You stole a boat! Not just any boat but the prized yacht of one of our biggest investors! And then you spent a night in jail when you got caught. Have you learned anything? Have I taught you anything? I have failed your parents Cole. I failed them! And there's nothing that I can do to stop you this downward spiral of yours.”
I rolled my eyes. “This isn’t a downward spiral, don’t you treat me like I'm one of those Hollywood harlots on some drug addiction. I don't need to go to rehab.”
“Are you sure? Because I'm not anymore. I should've left you in jail this time. See how you liked it.”
“Fine leave me there. And no, I don't need fucking rehab. I don't do drugs.” Okay so that wasn't completely true, but a few recreational activities here or there didn’t make me an addict. I wasn't about to explain that to him, especially when he was in this state. There was no hope in him. And there was no stopping the amount of complaints running straight at me.
“What does that girl of yours say about all this? Was she with you last night?”
