Baby Makes Three

“What should I call you both, sir?” Jake spit his drink out and I chuckled softly.
“Um, anything you want.” I answered for him. Though Madeline looked terrified at Jake’s reaction. If it wasn’t obvious before…
“Okay. Sorry.” She giggled a bit. Hmm, what a soft and intoxicating sound. Her laugh.
“For what?” I smiled softly.
“Nothing,” she shook her head. “Nothing.”
She had a few more questions, but they were all formalities. She was very serious about this and eager to learn. Was that a fetish of some sort? Because I couldn’t keep my desire for her at bay. After a little bit more talking, she signed the NDA.
There would be a lot more documents later on, but for now that was it. It just said she couldn’t talk about the arrangement with her startup. The idea was technically still hers, but we had bought the rights to it.
“What are your plans after graduation?” I asked her. She shrugged.
“I hoped to have my own company by then, but maybe that is wishful thinking. If I could get a good job in my field I would be glad. Most people don’t even get that.”
“That’s true.” Jake answered.
We walked her out, and I innocently shook her hand in goodnight while Jake kissed her cheek. I glared at him. I knew he only did that because of my reservations on her being a student.
Once we said our goodbyes, it was hard watching her go.
“We are in for it, man,” I told Jake back inside.
“I know. And to be her mentor…that would be a lot of wires that shouldn’t get crossed,” Jake added.
“We have to figure it out.”
He agreed.
Because we were not letting her go.
Five: Madeline
I think I was stuck in an alternate universe. Dinner was delicious…but those two men were slowly wrapping me around their fingers.
Their demeanors were so naturally dominating, it was hard to even breathe sometimes. The looks they gave me leave nothing to the imagination, but I still couldn’t believe they wanted me. It seemed…impossible almost. Surely men like them could have anyone, why would they pay me any mind? I was just their new intern.
I thought of them all day, and could barely concentrate in class. I made so many mistakes at work, my boss started to worry about me. I usually don’t make any mistakes in the boring clerical work I did. Students had come into the office and I was so far off in my head, I hadn’t even noticed.
Once I got out of work and back home to change, I finally woke up from the dream. I knew I had to do my best job in their office, I couldn’t be the aloof, new girl on the job. Sarai wasn’t home for me to consult her on the proper attire, but I was pretty much capable of choosing something on my own.
Since I wore a skirt the first day, I decided on a simple navy blue, square top dress with capped sleeves. It wasn’t too tight, and it didn’t show too much cleavage. That was hard to come by for me. I braided by hair back again and only touched up my makeup from earlier.
I had about twenty minutes to make it on time so I was rushing through the early traffic. Their office building took up nearly half a block, and it took me two separate elevators just to get to the right place. But I entered the top floor, where all their offices were.
“Excuse me, I am trying to fine Mr. Sawyer and Mr. Moyer’s office.” I stopped at a desk that seemed like the information desk. She just led me to yet another floor.
This one was buzzing with the sound of printers and people bustling about. It seemed more like the right place.
“Hello, I need to find Mr. Sawyer’s office? And Mr. Moyer as well.”
The receptionist was nice enough to lead me the right way.
“Of course, right this way. Do you have an appointment?” She stood up from her desk, her smile was kind. The first one I had seen all day.
“Not really.” I said nervously. Should I have made one? They didn’t seem that tight on security or anything.
