She smiled to me, looking completely spent. “You too, Oliver. I love you.”
For a moment I thought I didn’t hear her right. Then my breathing hitched and my heart went into overdrive. She loved me.
Alexandra Harris loved me.
Hell yeah!
This was all I ever needed. I smiled, feeling like the happiest man alive. “I love you too, Alexandra. I don’t ever want to get separated from you again.”
She kissed me again. “You won’t.”
I grinned wildly at her and showered her face with kisses. This had just turned into a best day of my life.
Epilogue
A year later
Alexandra
Today was the grand opening of the hotel. I couldn’t believe how quickly the time had passed, and here I was, cutting the ribbon with Oliver.
Oliver.
I looked at the man standing next to me as we faced the guests, and my heart expanded with happiness. It had been a year since I started dating Oliver, and since then we’d worked hard on renovating the hotel and bringing its old glory. I’d been able to make my designs come true and along with them—my dreams.
We were in the middle of a cocktail reception, but suddenly Oliver pulled me to the side and said, “It’s getting a bit boring here. Let’s sneak away to our bridal suite.”
I grinned, my pussy throbbing in response immediately. Our bridal suite was the suite we’d used that day when we admitted that we loved each other. I felt something warm filling me as I remembered that day. It was truly special, and it marked the start of our beautiful relationship.
Each day with Oliver was more exciting than the previous one. Our sex was simply amazing, and I loved the way he controlled me in our bedroom. I’d gotten to know him better and discovered we were more similar that I’d initially thought. We had the same passion for turning old into new and we continued working together on other projects too.
We went upstairs and entered the bridal suite, which was now completely different from then. It was beautiful—it looked exactly like I’d always envisioned it.
Suddenly, I felt too emotional. My vision blurred as tears welled up in my eyes.
Oliver looked at me in worry. “What is wrong?”
“Oliver, you have no idea what you’ve done for me. This...” I motioned with my hand at the room, looking over its new furniture and restored walls and windows. Turning something that had been so old and ruined into such a pretty, breathtaking space was equal to a miracle for me, and it was all thanks to Oliver. “This is amazing. This is all I ever dreamed of... Until you. Now I have you and this hotel is just the way I wanted it to be... You made my dreams come true. Thank you.”
He approached me and kissed me, holding onto me tightly.
“No. I have to thank you. You are the one who made my dreams come true. I have you and there is nothing else that matters to me.”
He took a step backward and reached into the pocket of his jacket. The next moment he took a small jewelry box out of it, and my heart just stopped. He opened it and revealed a huge diamond ring that took my breath away. I looked at him, unable to think properly for a moment.
Was this...? Was this really...?
“Alexandra Harris, you are the love of my life. Will you marry me?”
Oh my God.
Oh my God! Yes! “Yes,” I breathed out, feeling so happy. I couldn’t believe this!
I grinned like crazy when he took the ring out and brought it to my ring finger. I couldn’t believe he’d just proposed. He pulled me in for a kiss, and I was already lost in our passion.
I was already lost in him.
Oliver Talon, the man who I thought would be my enemy, would now be my partner for life. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
