Wyatt’s brow creased. “This has something to do with your uncle doesn’t it?”
She nodded. “I will give you the abridged version. He became my legal guardian after my parents died. He never wanted me. Not once was he happy to have me in his home. He didn’t come to my high school graduation, or see me off for college. He was never involved in my life. Until now. Until he came to me and said I had to do this for him.”
“Then why did you agree?” Jason looked as worried as Wyatt. “Why put yourself in that position, Kayla? You’re talented. You’re smart.”
“I made my own deal.”
“You did?”
“I never knew when he would pull something like this. When he would try to
drag me into his business. I wanted my own freedom. I agreed to one year at Miller-Wentmore in exchange for a complete break from everything in the family.” She wiped a sudden tear from her eye. “It’s not like he cared anyway, but I wanted it to be final. I wanted him to act like I was dead and we would never speak or see each other again.”
“Shit,” Wyatt whispered. “You made your own deal.”
“I had to.”
“That’s behind you now. You know that, right?” Jason looked at her.
“Is it?”
“Of course it is. You have us.”
She felt the panic rise up. Just the idea that this could slip away from her. “What if this weekend goes horribly wrong? What if you get tired of me? What woman can live up to your expectations?”
“Hey. That’s not going to happen.” Wyatt tilted her chin in his direction. “That’s why this arrangement is so perfect, Kayla. You have both of us. You’ll never be alone. We’ll always take care of you. Worship you. Give you more pleasure than you can imagine. That’s all we want.”
“Really?”
“Really. There’s no rush. We have all the time in the world to get to know each other and be together. That’s what this weekend is about. You get to see us away from the office. Let this be a real relationship, baby. Relax and let it happen.”
She leaned into his chest. “I don’t know when I’ll believe this is real.”

Kayla
Nothing prepared her for the vineyard. If Kayla thought the penthouse was unbelievable, then this was epic. Like the city apartment, the house was divided into two wings. One for each of the men. The central part of the house was comprised of an enormous baker’s kitchen, a library, two offices, a ballroom, dining room, and several sitting rooms. The largest of them was equipped with a big theater-sized screen. It didn’t take long for Kayla to realize how much Wyatt and Jason loved football. The games were life-sized on that screen.
She walked through the rooms in amazement.
“You two weren’t kidding. This house is gorgeous.”
Jason rubbed her shoulders. “Why don’t you get settled in and I’ll get the wine. Ten bottles enough?”
She sputtered. “Ten?”
“For the tasting,” he explained.
“Oh right. I guess that sounds good then.”
Wyatt turned on the screen. The football players took up the entire wall.
Kayla walked toward him. “I love football too.”
“You do?” He looked surprised.
“I started going to games in college and I couldn’t help it. Something about all that energy. All those men.” She grinned. She knew she was flirting shamelessly. She touched her hand to his forearm. It flinched and she saw the vein in his arm strain against her caress.
