“Darlin’” Jesse said, leaning close to Tori, almost smothering Benjamin, who he held in his arms. “I think you’ve fulfilled your promise.”
“What promise is that?” She wiped Priscilla’s chocolate covered mouth.
“To have lots of babies.”
“Really?” Tori reached across the table to grab the glass of milk dangerously close to Paul’s hand.
“Since the doctor gave you the okay to resume lovemaking, I think we should turn the house upside-down to find your sponge and my box of condoms.”
“Whatever you say, dear.”
A waiter stood at the front of the restaurant, holding a wiggling Henry against his chest. “Who does this demon belong to?”
“Never saw him before in my life.” Jesse winked at Tori and shoveled apple pie into his mouth.
