I chuckled and sat up, surprised with myself. Who would have thought they would create this uncontrollable sexual desire in me that made me want to try everything with them? I was so desperate now to try anal sex with them that I became soaking wet. I had to gather some control.

Where were they? I looked around and found a note and coffee on the nightstand. Oh God. They were so sweet!

“A note and coffee? You’re so nice, guys,” I muttered, smiling at the sight.

No one had ever done something like this for me, and I felt like I was melting on the inside. They were so thoughtful. My heart beat faster as I unfolded the note, finding money inside of it. I frowned in confusion. What was this money for? I read the note.

“Hey, beautiful. We hope you slept well. Last night was just amazing. No, it was even better than that—It blew our minds. We’d love to see you again. You can come to the firehouse and spend some time with us, so you don’t have to be cooped up in the hotel. Also, we left you money so you can buy some new clothes. Please, don’t hesitate to use it. We care about you and want you to have anything you want, or need.

Caleb and Trent.”

I clutched onto my chest and swallowed hard, suddenly too emotional because of their gesture. They’d left me this sweet note, coffee, which I was practically addicted to, and money. Were they real? How lucky I’d been to meet the guys who were so kind and sexy at the same time?

My heart raced and I had to take deep breaths. I felt like I was falling for them hard, and everything was happening so suddenly... I wanted to know more about them. I wanted to sleep with them again. I wanted everything, and the feeling was completely new for me.

I’d had several boyfriends, but all of those relationships felt pale compared to this. And not only relationships. All those other guys weren’t even as remotely cute as Trent and Cal

eb. Actually, calling them “cute” wasn’t doing them any justice. They were smoking hot—the kind that make you stare at them the whole day, hungry for a piece of them—and the attraction was irresistible.

I wished I had my phone with me now. I would have sent them a nice thank you message, but then again, I could thank them in person. I wanted to spend time with them too, and it was a great idea to go to the firehouse instead of going back to my empty hotel room.

They were so considerate and caring, and my insides turned into a happy mush. I took the money they had left and decided to use it for a dress that would help me seduce them. I took the liberty to take a quick shower in the guest room, reminiscing about last night one more time. I dressed in my clothes and decided to check up on Granny before I went shopping, using the phone in the guest room.

She picked up on the third ring. “Hello, honey.” I was the only one with her number, so of course she knew it was me.

Her sweet voice always soothed me. “Hello, Granny. How are you?”

“I’m fine. I just had breakfast.”

“How was it?”

“It was so delicious. They served me bacon and eggs with some cookies for dessert. Dessert for breakfast, can you imagine?”

I assumed they were some sort of oatmeal breakfast cookie, but I didn’t argue, instead I chuckled, well aware of how much she loved food. She had taught me how to bake as a kid. “Are you feeling okay?”

“Of course I am. As I told you, stop worrying. How about you? How is your morning, Bree?”

For a few moments I contemplated whether I should tell her that I’d spent the night with Caleb and Trent or not. I always shared everything with her, but this time I didn’t felt like sharing about them so soon. Everything was still new between us, and I didn’t want to give her the wrong impression.

“It’s great. I went yesterday to the firehouse and brought Caleb and Trent an apple pie.”

She giggled. “Oh so they’re ‘Caleb and Trent’ now?”

I blushed, feeling like she could see right through me. “Well, they’re nice and friendly.”

“Only friendly?”

“Granny!”

Her chuckles turned into laughter. “Maybe I’m old, but that doesn’t mean I’m blind. They seem nice. You need a guy like them in your life. You’ve been single for so long that I’d almost lost hope for you to find someone decent.”

“Granny! Seriously! I’m not a spinster! And you don’t have to play a matchmaker or anything like that. Besides you’re always the one saying I’ll find my prince.”

Now I was thinking princes.

She sighed. “Fine. I understand. You young ladies these days don’t hurry at all when it comes to these things, feeling like you have your whole life in front of you, but before you know it, you become old and—”

“And that won’t happen, Granny. We talked about this already.”
