“You better get your butt up here too.” I offer Pink my hand.
“I’m making drinks, plus look at these shorts. He’d kill me.” I snort a laugh.
“True.” At least she knows her limits. I truly think Kane might have a heart attack if she were up there shaking her booty in those shorts. “I’m surprised you made it out of the house wearing those things.” That gets me a full-on smile from her.
“Who says I was wearing these when I left?” She wiggles her brows.
“Play our song!” Ollie shouts across the room. A moment later, Love Shack comes over the speakers, and all the girls in the room scream and start to dance. I help a few others up on the bar with us.
When I’d first fallen for Archer, I was leery of the whole club thing. Really it was my insecurity. I’d thought back then Archer was in a world so far from mine I’d never be able to keep up. The girls and the parties and everything else I thought came with a place like this.
I’d been wrong from the start. None of this was what I thought it was. Not only that, but the club has changed some too. Everyone knows everyone, and really it’s a family here. Everyone might be dancing and getting a bit dirty tonight, but tomorrow, this place will be filled with kids and a giant cookout that always takes place here on Sunday nights.
I don’t know about other motorcycle clubs, but I’m pretty sure the Ravens are different from most. Everything here is about loyalty, and that most certainly includes the men to their wives. We’re all a giant family here. Archer should know that no man is even going to be looking at me, but he’s still not going to care. He thinks everyone wants me. He logically can’t understand how someone wouldn’t want me.
That is why when I spot him entering the club, I know he’s going to come right for me. My eyes lock with his from across the giant warehouse. I’m so focused on him I almost miss Jason and Kane beside him.
“Oh shit!” Ollie says from beside me. “I am gonna make a run for it! Every female for themselves.” She jumps down off the bar, running toward the back.
No way am I running. My man has been gone all afternoon, working on the swing set he was building for the boys in our back yard. He wanted to surprise them with it tomorrow when we picked them up from his parents.
I had no idea when I got Archer, I’d be getting his mom and dad too. He may not have always seen eye to eye with his dad, but they’ve come a long way. It warms my heart to see them get closer and closer. He swears it’s only because of me.
I know Archer’s father tried to control the hell out of him when he was younger, but he’s changed so much. He’s always been more than good to me and our kids. That’s why Archer says it’s been so easy to forgive him and grow a relationship with him. Sometimes people can change.
“Move!” he barks as he makes his way through the crowd in front of the bar.
People jump out of his way when they see him coming through. I think most knew this was going to happen when they’d seen Ollie and me get up on the bar to begin with. Everyone knows what cavemen our husbands can be.
“I’m only dancing!” I say when he gets to me. His only response is to pluck me right off the bar and into his arms. “Where are we going?” I huff, pretending to be annoyed. I thought he’d take me back to our room here, but he’s heading for the main front door instead.
“Home where no one can hear you scream my name.”
“Oh.” I smile, shifting in his arms so I can wrap myself around him. His hands go to my ass. “You going to do lots of dirty things to me?”
“You’re pushing it, sweet girl,” he warns. I lean in next to his ear.
“Go easy. I’m pregnant.” His hands on my ass tighten.
“Already?”
“Like it ever takes you long.” I laugh. Every time we say we’re going to try, I’m knocked up in seconds. This is supposed to be our last, but I’ve said that before. “You gonna give me a girl this time?” I tease him, not really caring if I have a boy or girl.
