“Hey.” Jesse blinked water out of his eyes as Luke pulled back the curtain. “Sorry, I didn’t want to wake you.”

Luke stepped in and closed the curtain behind him. “You didn’t.” He pulled Jesse close for a kiss. His morning hard-on wasn’t going anywhere as his hands roamed over Jesse’s slick, soapy skin.

Jesse purred appreciatively as he rubbed up against Luke. “Maybe I should have.” He found a sensitive spot on Luke’s neck, sucking until Luke moaned. Jesse’s mouth moved down Luke’s body until he was on his knees. Luke ran his fingers through Jesse’s silky hair.

“It’s okay, you don’t have to.”

“I want to.” Jesse was already breathing hard in anticipation.

Luke wavered on his feet as Jesse took him into his hot mouth. One hand moved around the shaft, the other gripping Luke’s hip as he licked and sucked. For what he lacked in experience, he more than made up for in enthusiasm, and the sight of Jesse on his knees, Luke’s cock in his mouth, made Luke’s balls tighten quickly.

After another minute he panted, “Watch out,” trying to move Jesse’s head away. But Jesse didn’t move, sucking harder as he held Luke to him. Luke groaned as he came, Jesse swallowing and coughing a bit before Luke hauled him up to his feet, smiling.

Jesse licked his lips, satisfied. “You taste pretty good.”

Luke leaned down and kissed him thoroughly. “Yeah, I do,” he said, swatting him on the ass.

They both giggled, and Jesse tried to slap Luke’s ass right back, but Luke twisted away. It turned into a wrestling match that ended with a torn shower curtain and water splashed all over the bathroom floor.

Luke couldn’t remember when he’d laughed so much.

“You know, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Luke Rossovich playing doubles,” Steve Anderson remarked to his partner in the booth. “Most of the top players can’t be bothered these days and prefer to focus on their singles matches.”

Luke served an ace up the middle and slapped hands with Jesse. They were down a set and a break, but still playing well.

“I don’t think Rossovich and McAllister are going to be able to beat the Stifflers today; the Aussie brothers are the number-one doubles team in the world for a reason. Still, it’s nice to see two American singles players teaming up and making it into the doubles finals here at Indian Wells. And Jesse made it to the quarters against Jean-Paul Riel, so he’s playing pretty well of late.”

A rally of volleys took place at the net, with Jesse finally getting one past the brothers. “Nice one!” Steve exclaimed. “Rossovich and McAllister looked a bit shaky early on in the tournament, but now they’re talking to each other a lot more on court and that seems to have made a difference. It’ll be interesting to see how they play in Miami in a couple of weeks; I hear they’ve entered as a doubles team again.”

On match point, Jesse’s backhand dive went long. He and Luke clasped hands briefly before going to congratulate their opponents. As they left the court, they stopped to sign autographs. “Ross has always been very popular with the fans,” Steve remarked. “And it’s good exposure for Jesse McAllister—after all, we probably wouldn’t have broadcast this match if one of America’s favorite players wasn’t involved. It’s great for tennis.”

Even though the cameras were focused on Luke and Jesse, Steve put on a cheesy grin as he said, “Let’s hope this is the start of a beautiful partnership.”

CHAPTER EIGHT

The sky was a deep blue, the midday sun making the blacktop shimmer as Luke and Jesse drove back towards the coast through the California desert. The top was down on Luke’s Porsche and iced cappuccino slid easily down his throat.

Life was good.

“So what did you tell Jeff about coming with me?”

“Just told him we wanted to talk strategy for our next competition.” Jesse’s hand drifted over to Luke’s thigh. “Didn’t mention how I wanted to suck your dick again on the way back.”

Laughing, Luke said, “Yeah, then I crash the car and the police catch me with my pants down. We’ll just have to wait until we get home.” Home. For once, Luke actually looked forward to going back there. No one had been in his bedroom since Nik, and it was time.

Jesse’s cell rang, and he answered. “Hello? Oh, hey, Mom.” He looked over at Luke and smiled nervously. “Oh, right. No, of course I remembered. I’ll be there. Okay. Hmm? No, I’m riding back with Luke. You know, Luke Rossovich. Yeah, he’s nice, Mom.”

Luke grinned devilishly and reached over to stroke Jesse through his jeans. Jesse bit back a gasp. “What? Oh, it was nothing, I just spilled my drink. Okay, talk to you later.” He hung up and smacked Luke’s arm. “I thought you didn’t want to get into an accident?”
