“I want that too. One day,” I said softly.
“Me too.” He kissed my cheek and I swooned inside.
Dylan McKenzie was a gorgeous man, inside and out, and, at least for now, he was all mine.
“Okay you two,” Uncle Isaac grumbled. “Enough of making eyes at each other.”
“Oh, Dad,” Luci said, kissing his cheek. “Please leave them alone.”
“I know what you young’uns think about all the time, so that is not happening under my roof.”
Dylan cleared his throat. “I respect you and your rules.”
“I do too, Uncle Isaac. There’s no reason to keep us apart.” I took Dylan’s hand and intertwined my fingers with his. “I promise to not participate in any debauchery with Dylan while under your roof.”
He rolled his eyes. “I noticed how you worded that.” He grinned. “Nothing gets past me.” He paused. “But it’s Christmas, and we only have a short time left with you here, so I’ll go easy on you both.”
I glanced at Dylan as he quickly glanced at me.
Uncle Isaac grinned. “I’m still not going to let you share a room.”
Dylan snickered before bursting into a full-bodied laugh.

Getting Jenna alone had become frustrating in m
ore ways than one, however, Christmas morning, nothing was keeping me from her.
Her long hair shined in the sunlight coming through the front window, the red more vibrant than usual. The smile on her face was soft and caused my heart to flutter every time she glanced my away, which was often.
The scent she wore tickled my nose as she sidled up next to me, her hand slipping inside of mine. She whispered, “Take a walk with me outside.”
There was no mistaking her meaning when she walked past, her fingers brushing my belly.
“We’re going for a walk.” Placing my glass of lemonade, with the cocktail cherry soaking in the bottom, on the table, I glanced at Isaac and Meg. Both were distracted with their new grandchildren.
I did catch a smirk on Luci’s face as she blocked her in-laws view of our escape.
The house was filled with the scent of cinnamon, cloves and oranges, exactly as Mom would have ours smelling back home in Lexington. I missed them. It was my first Christmas away from my family and it felt weird. Mom and Dad had been the ones to purchase the trip for me as a present. If I hadn’t wanted to visit Ireland so badly then I’d have been offended they’d chosen Christmas to send me here. I hadn’t been able to think that far because I’d never expected them to listen about this. Especially Mom.
But here I was, zipping up my winter jacket to go and make out with the girl I’d fallen for. At least, I hoped that was her plan. It was Christmas after all. We deserved some alone time.
“I hope my dick doesn’t freeze off out here,” I muttered, catching my breath as a blast of cold air hit me in the face.
Jenna turned and backed along the path slowly. “I intend getting your dick warm and wet. So, I’m sure it will survive.”
“I’m not sure I’ll survive.”
Rolling her eyes, Jenna giggled and taking my hand, we hurried toward the back path, which led around behind the barn. My heartbeat picked up the closer we got to it. “This is fun,” Jenna said, excitement clear in her voice.
“This is cold.”
“It’s not that cold, besides, you’ll be burning up soon.”
“My dick is onboard with that.”
