Before he can finish that line of questioning, I kiss him, which has the silencing effect. It doesn’t stop his hands from caressing over my ass before he pulls me closer.

“Do you remember how horny you were when you were pregnant with Ben?” He chuckles. “Thought my dick was going to snap off.”

I roll my eyes and rub against the hard length of him. “I remember,” I whisper as I rest my head against his chest. “I’m still not having sex out back.”

“Spoilsport,” he grumbles.

“We have a nice warm house that I’m sure you wouldn’t have problems getting creative in.”

At this point he holds me tightly with the side of our faces brushing together. Our hips move as one, and I know before the night is over that he’ll be inside of me.

Reece

“You look tired,” Donovan comments while I’m in the middle of a long yawn.

I grin. “Callie wouldn’t leave me alone last night.” Smirking, I add, “She’s a tiger when she’s pregnant.”

Donovan rolls his eyes and looks at Jack. “Why are we here so early?”

“Reece has something going on later.” Jack glances at me.

“I promised Callie I’d take her to the Christmas market while my mom has Ben. They make the perfect hot chocolate, which I could do with now, or a nut warmer. It’s just as cold in here as it is outside. I’m not used to this.”

“Neither are we,” Donovan agrees. “We’re going to get some of the white stuff before too long.” He smiles. “Mara can’t wait.”

“Leigh is excited for the snow.” Jack sigh

s. “Thalia bought the girls matching snowsuits and boots. I think she’s just as excited as they are.”

Listening to my friends, I slump into one of the chairs and cradle a warm coffee between my palms, hoping my numb fingers wake up soon. “Looking back, six, seven years, I never thought we’d be where we are today.” I glance between my friends and continue, “We’re all happily married to amazing women. We have families of our own, or soon will have…but through everything, we’re all still brothers.”

Surprised silence follows my observation and I let it settle while we sit around our usual table, freezing our asses off because the heating hasn’t worked its way through Kix as yet.

“I agree, but what’s wrong with you, getting all mushy?” Jack asks.

He’s right. “I hurt Callie by going off on my usual obsession when one of my sisters meets a guy. Because of that, she hadn’t been able to talk to me and tell me about our baby,” I admit and pause to catch my breath. Even now my heart cracks a little at the thought of her not being able to talk to me. “I hate that I did that to her and I’m not going to let it happen again…so, I’m turning over a new leaf.” I’m lost in thought for a few seconds, and then I add, “I’m getting in touch with my feelings, bro.”

Jack and Donovan look at each other before they turn back to me and laugh.

“I’m all for saying it as it is,” Donovan laughs. “It’s just gonna take time hearing it out of your mouth.”

“Asshole,” I grumble, hiding my amusement. “Okay, that’s enough fun for the morning. We gonna practice or what?”

“It’s warming up a bit in here, so let’s do this.” Jack stands. “What time is Callie expecting you back?”

“I’m picking her up from my mom’s around one.” I follow my two best friends to the stage and once on it I just stand looking out over the large room. I love Kix. We all do.

The concert has been advertised as a family event, so Ryder has gotten special permission from the local council to host it. Only mulled wine will be served, along with fruit juice, hot chocolate, and Christmas cookies.

Just that thought makes me smile because Callie loves making cookies at Christmastime and had already started on a batch when I left the house, which will smell like cinnamon when we return. Cinnamon and the holiday season always reminds me of Christmas at my mom’s house.

The sound of a throat being cleared brings me back to the present, and as I meet Jack’s gaze, I grin and listen to what we’re about to sing.

Callie

I love the Christmas market. The small stalls full of unique gifts, some of which have been handmade. And the smell in the air is delicious as I wait for Reece to come back with the two large cups of hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

I tug my jacket up around my neck to keep the chill out, and let my gaze wonder over to the ice rink that has been placed on the edge of the town park. It’s small, but makes people happy. I certainly won’t be going on it this year with our baby snug inside of my belly. I’m not the best on ice anyway so I’m more than happy to just watch, which is how I spot Robin and Leo on the opposite side. I probably wouldn’t have spotted them if Robin hadn’t caught my eye by falling on the ice.
