I hear the amusement in his voice when he replies, “I came so hard twice what do you expect?”
Peering at him over my shoulder he has a goofy, satisfied grin on his face.
He laughs when he notices my gaze. “You are … damnit … I love you, and your everything to me.”
Turning in the circle of his arms, I snuggle against his chest after I place a kiss in the center. “I love you too Blake, and no matter what comes next, I want you to know, I’m here to support you always. You don’t have to be the responsible one, or alone anymore, okay?”
I give him a soft kiss on his lips when I see the struggle going on inside of him at my words. Until Felicity met Kasey, Blake had been her sole provider. He’d worked hard to get himself through college while playing ice hockey, but his main focus had been getting his sister through school. He’d probably had an up-hill battle with Felicity because she was stubborn, just like Blake really.
Until I’d met Blake I’d had no idea that I had so much love and longing inside of me. He’s taken over my life, in a good and positive way. A way that I don’t ever want to lose. I know that he needs something to do, something to give him his independence back. I’m just afraid that it might take him away from me, no matter what he’d said about staying in the area.

Blake
It’s been three months since I’ve taken my first steps and although I have to use a cane when on my feet, I’m out of my wheelchair. I never thought it would happen, even though I tried to keep some hope alive. I truly believe that I couldn’t have done this without Violet. She’s stood by me from the moment she’d stepped foot into my life, and her love and devotion have never wavered. Well, at least since I’d started being honest with her. I’d soon learnt that lesson.
As I watch Violet pulling her T-shirt over her head before she goes off to work, she catches me, a small smile plays on her beautiful lips. “
Are you nervous?”
“I’m trying to distract myself with you.” I grin. “Works every time.”
She chuckles and drops on the bed beside me. Today is the day I start a coaching job at a private college, not too far from here. The hockey season is over, but they wanted me to cover a few months of training before they break for the summer—get to know the team.
“You are going to be amazing, and they’re going to wonder why they took so long to decide to offer you the job.” Violet rises up and straddles me, not helping my morning wood.
“It’s time for you to leave now you’ve made me ache.” My hands slip up her thighs and squeeze her ass. “These things are amazing,” I groan, referring to her cheeks.
“I feel what they do to your body.” She rubs on my dick before jumping from me and the bed. “I really want to stay, but I can’t. I have a client in ten minutes.” She bends over me and presses her mouth to mine in a soft kiss. “Remember that I love you, and you don’t have anything to be nervous about today.” She kisses me again. “Call, or text me when you get the chance to let me know how it’s going,” she shouts over her shoulder, running out of the room.
Not only is today my first day at my new job, but by the end of next week we’ll be in our own place. It’s a small two-bedroom cottage, which Violet fell in love with the moment she’d laid eyes on it. She used the word quaint to describe it to me. The rooms are small, but it will be ours and the good deal we got on it when we’d purchased it sure helps.
It’s the first place where I’ve really put down roots since my parents died, and it makes me a bit nervous. Violet was so sure that we were making the correct decision, so I’m trusting her.
It will be good to be away from the facility, which has been home for a few months now. We’ll be on our own and I’m excited at the prospect of complete privacy. Even though Violet had pointed out that she thought I was more excited to be able to have sex outside without getting caught on camera—having our own place with a private garden out back does have its advantages.
Knowing I need a shower, I glance down and groan at my obscene dick punching up and tenting the cover over my lap. Even though I’m tempted to play while I’m in the shower, I won’t.
My heart pounds in my chest while I’m introduced to the hockey team, two of which are of the female variety. To say I’m surprised is an understatement. I guess things have changed since I graduated. I don’t have a problem with girls being on the team, it just surprised me. It also makes me wonder how they handle playing an opposing team, especially when they’re all guys.
One of the girls is small, but after watching her on the ice, I understand why she’s on the team; her mad skating skills and the speed in which she darts between the other players, leaving them looking after her.
“The girls threw you?” my new boss, and coach, Danny Collins, says. “Took me a bit of getting used to, but it really works to our advantage.”
I frown so he explains, “Not many guys will go up against a girl, at least when body contact is involved. They tend to back off, which can work in our favor.” He nods toward the smaller of the two. “Tessa is hell on the ice and has made a name for herself amongst the college teams.” He grins. “They dread facing off against us when she’s playing. I can’t really say she’s our secret weapon anymore, but I wouldn’t swap her out for anyone.”
“A pity the NHL doesn’t take female players.” I watch her skate around the ice, dodging her team mates when the titters coming from the side draw my attention. Four girls are watching me, one of which makes a show of looking me over. Her eyes lingering on the groin area.
Danny mumbles beside me, “That’s the main reason I took so long in offering you the job.”
The look I give the girls isn’t encouraging as I turn to look at Coach. “I’m not all that sure what you’re saying, but I will say that the only girl I have eyes for is my girlfriend who I intend on spending the rest of my life with.”
His lips start to curl up into a smile when he ruins it with a cough. “Keep it that way.”
Ignoring the crude insinuation, I watch the players again, and observe, “Number twenty-two is a hothead.” My statement is met with a grunt.
I glance at coach. “Carry on.”
