Miranda loved how thoughtful he was. It was one of the reasons she loved him so much. ‘I can wait a few months if you can.’

‘It’ll be worth the wait,’ he said. ‘We have the rest of our lives to be together.’

Miranda touched the side of his face with her hand, looking deep into his tender gaze. ‘I don’t care what life throws at us. I can handle it, especially if I’ve got you by my side. Which is kind of where you’ve always been, now that I think about it.’

Leandro smiled as he held her close, his head coming down to rest on top of her head. ‘It’s where I plan to stay.’
