“She raised me. It’s the least I can do given my Dad’s in prison for stupid shit he did when got hooked on drugs.”

“I’d actually like to help people like your Dad when I get older,” Abigail said then. “Not people who don’t want help, but people who want to get help for their addictions. It’s sad when they just get tossed into jail with no real guidance or help.”

“Some of them go because they don’t want help. My Dad is a good example of that. He picked jail over my Mom and I and getting help.”

“Everyone deserves help,” Abigail said. “Even if they don’t want to do it at the time, at least you can say that you tried to save someone’s life.”

I snorted at the thought of my Dad being told he was going to rehab. Prison life was much better in his eyes. It was sweet to see that she wanted to help someone besides herself. Sweet and odd. Most rich people could give two shits about anyone but their banker and themselves. Maybe I was wrong about her? I’d been wrong before.

A sick feeling swelled in the pit of my stomach. Being wrong about Abi left me worried that walking away from the beautiful thing after the job was over wouldn’t be as easy as I’d imagined. If there were more to her, like a big giving heart to go with her pretty smile, silky hair and perfect tits… I was in trouble. Big fucking trouble.

“Well, I know this isn’t exactly the type of job a guy like you would take, but I appreciate you being here. She smiled warmly. “And you should feel so lucky to get to follow me around the entire time while Libby tries to find me a Spanish lover, right? Her cute little nose turned up as she laughed.

“Yeah, lucky,” I said, cynically before smirking at her. Fuck she was the full package. Run, Harley. Fucking run, man. “Is that honestly what you want while you’re here? A Spanish lover?”

“Well… not exactly.”

I shook my head at the vague and uncertain reply. “You gotta be confident in yoursel

f if you make those type of decisions. I mean, shit. You’re an adult. Be confident in what you want, but don’t do something because your best friend thinks you should do it. You have a brain. A smart one at that.”

“Thanks,” Abigail said, setting her beer down on the patio table. “I know what you’re saying, and I’ve given everything a lot of thought.”

She scooted closer to me. Alarm bells sounded off in my head. I tensed up at her proximity.

“Thought about what exactly?”

“About what you just said,” she said. “And you’re right. I’m confident in what I want.”

“Abigail—” I started warningly. I could already feel myself hardening in arousal at the direction I knew this conversation would go.

“Just shut up and kiss me,” Abigail said.

She leaned forward, her soft hands sliding across my cheeks before settling on my neck. I couldn’t resist even if I tried. Abigail pressed her lips up against mine, and I couldn’t fight it anymore. I pulled her into my lap, gripping her tightly as I leaned in and deepened the kiss, taking ownership of her.

She knew what she wanted.

I wasn’t going to stop her.

CHAPTER ELEVEN - ABIGAIL

A popping sensation filled my stomach as Harley kissed me back without any resistance or hesitance. His lips coaxed mine open before sweeping a tongue inside. He tasted of hot black tea with honey.

His hands rubbed my shoulders before trailing down the sides of my body. Gripping my waist, his fingers dipped down to grab at my hips. He nipped at my lips playfully. The fire I felt since that day on the patio ignited again. I wrapped my arms around his broad shoulder as we kissed deeply for a long time.

Harley pulled back after a few minutes. Resting his forehead against mine, his fingers now ghosted against the skin on my bare thighs.

“Are you sure about this?” he asked, voice a husky murmur. “I’m not going to be able to stop once we start. I’ve wanted to sink down into you since that day you acted like a bitch in your Dad’s office.”

A chuckle left me, and I knew.

“I want to,” I whispered back, feeling the strong muscles of his neck under my fingers. A faint bristle of a beard tickled my fingertips. “I don’t want you to stop either. Just be careful with me.”

“Be careful with you, how, kitten?” His eyes filled with concern.

“I’m a virgin.” I shrugged as best I could. “Just be easy with me. I’ve never…but, I want this. We’re doing it. I just needed you to know so that you could be careful with me.” Frustration pumped through the center of my chest, and I grasped him tightly. “I want you.

“Abi, this is a big fucking decision. I don’t want you to do this unless you’re 100% positive that you’re going to be okay with this choice.”
