“It’s Zane. I don’t want you to hurt him.”

“Ah, yes. He is in this cabin. I can smell him from here and see his vitals within my sight. He is no harm to you or me, at the moment.”

“So you won’t touch him?” I asked.

Right now, I live to serve you, but this request, I cannot grant. Not after what Cadmar and I have seen and experienced. In the morning, I will take you to a safe place where you can nest with us. I will keep you secure, warm, and loved. However, my partners will tear his limbs off, one by one. It is in our nature.”

“But he isn’t a threat,” I said with urgency. “I know him. Not only is he lost, but also pathetically weak. I promised myself I’d get him back home. We won’t have to see him again.” Something I had wished for some time now...

Searching, ever searching like a snuffling hound for the one grain of truth that could release his true spirit. He sniffed up my neck and latched his lips around the flesh. He left a small red mark and dragged his teeth down.

His cock throbbed and searched like a bent and fleshy tusk. Bull-like hips surging for the prize, for my drenched pathway, he let out another roar. “Fine,” he said. “I’ll see what I can work out.”

Moans of pleasure sifted from his mouth as he lined his cock against my tight hole. I reached down and spread my lips apart for him, and he let out another sound.

“You’ll leave him be?” I asked, one hand against his chest, the other at the base of his shaft.

He pushed his hips back. “He may be granted exit,” he said. “But you must stay in our keep. Those are the rules, buttercup.”

There was no time to think. “Then, I guess I have no choice. I will stay.”

He took my hand. The searing pain from the fresh cut of the blade took me by surprise, and I tried to pull back. “Open,” he said.

Slowly, but surely, he opened my palm. The cut had already begun to heal as a thick scar. He opened his own hand and showed her the same exact scar. “Buttercup, we are now blood brothers, as you may call it.”

I bit the inside of my cheek and forced a smile.

He licked the blood away and cut his own hand.

“Blood brothers,” I said, tossing the blade away. It slid underneath the door, out of sight.

“No more talking. Ease back. I will show you what it is like to be primal.”

We weren’t monsters. We weren’t evil beasts hell-bent on killing either. The urges had been difficult to control, but we’d put mechanisms in place to ease the suffering of lost individuals. For instance, if the portal had somehow been found, we were to meet in the center of our world to discuss the situation. After we understood the motives of the source, we would split up until one of us found the intruder.

There was a reason for this, of course. If we stuck together, we could all suffer an attack. How many times had we run through similar routines? Oh, yes. Thousands of times. Not counting the goat that once made his way through to eat the supernatural plants sprouting here.

Cadmar and Donovan’s motives were different from mine. I lived by the fire. Donovan lived in the air, and Cadmar was floating within the currents of the sea. I questioned everything he told us about our possible freedom, even if I knew the words to be true. That is, I questioned it until I saw her.

She was someone different. As I sat wounded, with my heart on my sleeve, she ran the softness of her hands and lips over my cock. Despite my size, she took me down, inch by inch, until a bubbly choking noise grew and she needed to duck up for air. When she closed her mouth to swallow and take a breath, she looked at me for approval.

“Good. So good,” I moaned, petting the back of her silky hair. And then she’d go right back to work.

Leaning back with my hips in the air, I groaned in satisfaction, pumping forward. Her mouth hung open, loosely, tongue draped across the underside of my shaft. The warm, slick spit dripped down her naked and cold body.

I reached forward to feel the underside of her small perky breasts. She arched her back, so I could get a better feel, elevating her head. Pleasured, I lowered my face and tasted her, softly suckling on the taut nipples, rolling over and over again.

My cock was throbbing and uncontrollable, an object to pierce the most delicate flower in front of me. This was a woman who had the most precious beauty among all women in the world, but she hid it away in fear that it might come back to haunt her again.

That ex-boyfriend. That motherfucking maggot. I should have snapped off his arm when I had the chance. There were just too many scenarios in which I could end him as he had so clearly tried to injure me. That dust, the powder he threw in my eye. I didn’t know what the hell it was, but it took a part of me away for a brief period of time. He must have obtained it from Donovan’s greenhouses. Even in her bed, I stared at her and felt how most humans must have felt on a daily basis.

Sadness. Confusion. Loss. They were the most unsettling feelings I had ever felt. Though, as time went on, I started to gain my rightful powers back.

I thrust my hips high into the air, easing my way to the back of her throat. She closed her eyes and took my shaft, circling down one more time with tears. She rolled onto her tiny round ass and lay down, breathing cautiously. “Go slow for me.”
