“I didn’t do shit, Ronnie. It was all them.”

We were ushered to bed, leaving the mess for poor Chris to clean up. Once Luke had me alone in the bedroom, I attempted a sexy strip tease that had him laughing and shaking his head.

“Are you gonna take advantage of me?” I slurred, hoping like hell that he would. Every drunk girl’s fantasy was to be fucked senseless by a sexy biker until she feel into a restful sleep, as a result of her orgasmic oblivion.

“No, babe. Not tonight.” Luke was lying in bed on his back, his arms behind his head, enjoying the show.

“What in the hell do you mean? You promised you were gonna fuck me like forty times.” Luke laughed, patting my spot beside him in the bed, trying to encourage me to lie down. I collapsed next to him, completely naked as my head spun, and I laughed out loud, remembering the events of the night. “Ya know, Chi Chi ain’t so bad once you get to know her.”

“Is that so?” Luke asked, pulling me across his chest, so he could stroke my back.

“Mmm hmm,” I said, my eyes fluttering closed as Luke rubbed me, the feel of his fingers rubbing circles on my back was so relaxing that I found myself drifting.

“I’m glad you had fun tonight. You still up for forty rounds of sex?” I ignored his comment, wishing I had the strength to tell him to fuck off. He took my silence as all the answer he needed. “That’s what I thought.”

Chapter 17

Dallas

“Dallas. Baby, wake up.” I opened my eyes to hear Luke shuffling around the room. Why was he whispering? And why was he moving around the room in the dark? “Dallas, come on. Get up.” Luke said, gently shaking me, as my eyes focused on him in the dark.

“What’s going on?” I asked in a whisper, my voice still thick with sleep. Luke didn’t answer me, just pulled me up and threw a t-shirt over my head in record time. I sat, while he pulled a pair of shorts up my legs, then grabbed my hand, dragging me through the door and down the hall. My feet moved fast, trying to keep up with him, while my mind was still trying to wake up. My mouth was dry, and my breath tasted horrible. “Luke,” I started, as I stumbled over my feet.

“Shhh,” he replied, grabbing my arm to hold me up when I almost fell. Why didn’t he just carry me instead of dragging me behind him? He opened a door and pushed me in, turning me so I was facing him, although I couldn’t see a damned thing. “Stay here. No matter what, you stay in here. I’ll be back in a few.” He let go of my arm and pulled the door closed behind him, leaving me alone in what? A closet? I heard a noise and saw a small flicker of light illuminate what I now knew was the bathroom located off the main room. Maddie and Red said next to one another, propped up against the bathroom stall looking just as shitty as I felt.

“What’s going on?” I asked in a whisper, taking a seat between them. My brain had still not had time to panic or worry, it was still half asleep.

“Fuck, I don’t know.” Red said, not seeming to care too much. “My head is fucking hammering, and if someone is here to kill us, I hope they take me out first.” I sobered a little at her comment.

“Kill us?” I asked, a little too loudly, earning myself another shhh from them both.

“No one is gonna kill us. It’s just a precaution. There are two vans parked across the street, and someone triggered the silent alarm on the back gate,” Maddie informed us. She lit a cigarette, blowing the smoke out in a long breath.

“How the hell do you know?” Red asked, her grumpy tone and nonchalance about the possible danger of the situation getting on my nerves.

“Unlike the two of you, I demand to know what is going on when I am dragged out of bed in the middle of the night.” Well, at least one of us had enough sense to ask.

“Where is everyone else?” I asked, now noticing that the room should have been full. There were only three of us when there should have been nine.

“They went home. A lot of them have to work tomorrow. Only me, you, Red, Luke, Marty, and Regg are here. Everyone from out of town. I’m sure the other guys will be here soon.” Just then, the door opened, startling all of us, even Red.

“It’s just me, girls,” Marty said, from the door. “Big Al, Shark, and Bryce are on their way, but until they get here and we know what’s going on, y’all need to stay in here.”
