“Get your mind out of the gutter,” I mutter against her skin as I kiss along her jaw. “I’m not having sex with you.” I press my lips just below her ear. “Yet.”
She laughs, shakes her head, and heads to the bathroom. Life has been good these past few months. Jade has begun to truly trust me, and I’ve come to learn to not help so much. She can do plenty without my help, so I’ve stood back and let her. It helps keep her sane. Although, she’s learned she can ask for help, too. I nearly fell off the couch the first time she asked for my help with something.
The memory makes me smile as I scan the menu, hearing the water running in the bathroom. While we’re here, I’m going to make sure she has the most delicious food of her life, that she’s relaxed as can be, and that I pamper her. I want this to be better than she could’ve imagined.
I call room service to order a hearty meal of surf and turf, a bottle of wine, and some chocolate fudge brownie dessert with strict instructions to deliver it in an hour. On my walk to the bathroom, I remove my clothes and step into the shower to find Jade covered in suds.
“Took you long enough,” she grins.
“You’re an impatient woman,” I reply, grabbing her hips and tugging her closer to me.
“It’s not my fault. My boyfriend told me I could have anything and everything I wanted, and I want you now.”
A smile lifts my lips higher. “Today, tomorrow, and every day after that, you can have me.” I don’t know what our future holds, but the present makes it look promising.
