“To get a date to get married.”

I shook my head, “We need to wait. Get a venue. Dress and all the shebang.”

She didn’t agree. “I’ve waited long enough to be your wife. I don’t need that shit. I just need you.” I laughed, “But you have me.”

“You know what I mean. I just want it with the kids and us. Even both moms. I don’t care about anything else.”

With that kind of statement and with the hunger that she was kissing me with. How could I say no? I knew that my life had changed and the girl that I wanted to marry had left. And the woman that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with was kissing and begging me to marry her.

I didn’t resist and as soon as she finishes welcoming everyone and opening her new business. We’re going to the city hall, even if it means getting married in our jeans and shirt. We have the rest of our lives together to get dressed up. I didn't even need to get down on one knee. I'll do that before our big day. I just know that everything worked out so well, not just for her, but me too and I couldn't be happier.

And I could see by the smile on her face, that she felt exactly the same way.
