Feels good. God, so good.

He presses into me, shoving me into the wall, pushing his cock inside me as far as it can go, his breathing ragged. He’s not soft yet, and my abused pussy aches, and tightens.

“Fuck, girl, what are you doing to me…” He presses his face to my neck, drawing shallow breaths. “I wanna keep fucking you for hours and days…”

I want to have your babies.

The thought catches me off guard and I mentally shake my head at myself.

No, Cos. I’m not into kids. Or babies. I never thought I’d want to have a guy’s babies, especially not a guy I barely know, but the urge is so strong it’s all I can do not to blurt the words out.

“Have babies with me? Pretty please?”

God, no. I tug on the headphones hanging around his neck as I struggle to catch my breath. I want so speak but don’t trust myself.

Finally, I try for something more neutral than my crazy thoughts demand. “What happens now?”

He lifts those clear blue eyes, and grins. “Go out with me?”

I laugh.

Chapter Eleven

Merc

Life is looking up.

The nightmares still tear up my nights to pieces, and I’ve no clue what they mean, but at least I have Cos. The promise of seeing her makes me smile at random moments.

Like now.

It’s late afternoon. I’m bent over an open car engine, “American Girls and French Kisses” by Beach Slang booming in my ears, when Matt wanders beside me and kicks at my shin.

“Fuck.” I jerk away, yank the earphones off my head. “What’s wrong with you?”

“What’s up?” He tries to kick me again and I kick him back.

I miss. “Work, work, work, what do you think? My boss is a slave driver

.”

He chuckles. “You seem to be in a good mood, slave. Won the lottery? Got a hot date?”

“And what if I do?”

“A date, huh?” He gives a wolf whistle. “Who’s the poor girl who’ll have to put up with you for the night?”

“Har, har,” I say drily. “You’re so funny, Matt.”

“Oh yeah, I’m a barrel of laughs.”

“I’ll have you know that—”

“Yeah, yeah, Chicks dig you. I know.” He tugs on his dark beard, pins me with his shrewd, dark gaze. “This date… It wouldn’t be with the girl you talked to me about a couple of times?”

I still, hand on a gasket I’ve been checking. I glance sideways at him. “And if it is?”

“Woo baby, is what I’ll say.” He bends over the engine beside me, gives me a steady look. “Psycho girl, you called her. You said she’s been driving you up the wall.”
