They’d had to change their strategy. They didn’t think approaching Samantha in a conventional way would work. Besides, there were the three of them and they didn’t think she would go for the idea of a ménage. Samantha was a traditional girl who had been raised in a religiously devout family.

David came up with the idea of the ad when he’d found out Samantha was desperate for money. If they couldn’t approach her in a traditional way, they might as well go and hit her with a bang. He hired Mathilda Reyes as the facilitator and placed ads in the newspapers Samantha was subscribed to.

Just how desperate was she, a former preacher’s daughter, to dig herself out of the chasm of problems she was teetering into? Would she give her body for money? Sleeping with three men to solve her worldly problems?

Adam didn’t think David’s bait would work. He had been surprised when Samantha had made the call to Reyes. And here she was now, in their lair, ready for the taking.

“Do you think this will work?” Adam asked David, the mastermind of this grand scheme.

Adam had been unsure that sleeping with Samantha would solve their beastly problems. Lately, his inner lion had been

getting harder to control. Adam had resigned from his job as a banker and moved into his Aspen house to avoid the general population. His beast threatened to claw out at any time and it had practically ruined his social life. It had scared him. He didn’t know when he was going to lose control and shift during his meetings with the clients. To avoid any accidents, Adam had decided to keep a low profile until this matter was solved.

David stared at him seriously. “Have I been wrong with my instincts? Was I not right about that gem that led us into freedom?”

“Yeah, except our pact with Azazel dragged us into another shithole,” Adam rebuked.

“You think Jacoby was a better master?” David taunted.

Adam only snorted. He hated to admit that David was right most of the time. If he got a penny each time David flaunted, ‘I was right and I told you so’, he’d be a rich man. Richer, since he had excelled financially. Adam had more than a century’s experience of learning and building his wealth.

“How did your beast react when you met her?” David asked.

Adam sank into a chair behind his desk. His cock leapt again with interest at his thoughts of their encounter. His lion wanted to jump her bones at once. But at the same time, she soothed him. It was an inexplicable feeling. But it was definitely wonderful.

David read Adam’s expression and gave him another, ‘I told you so’ kind of look.

“Fuck you.” Adam ran his hands through his hair.

David roared. “Listen, we can’t be sure on something that hasn’t been proven. Give this a chance. She could be the answer to our problem.”

“If fucking her means I wouldn’t have to deal with the accidental shift, then I’ll take the chance. I just think it’s an irony that we hated Jacoby and now we have to love his descendant to escape from this curse.”

David lifted his drink in a toast and took a delicate sip. “If I knew the answer to all life’s mysteries, I wouldn’t be here talking to you right now, my friend.”

The dress was too tight around the chest, making it hard to breathe. Sam studied the mirror with a frown. She looked ridiculous in this outfit. Cheesy and slutty. When she remembered why she’d ended up in the mansion in the first place, she bit back her pride and swallowed it whole.

Yes, I’m a slut, but I’m doing it for a sound reason.

She couldn’t lose the house she’d grown up in just because she’d made a wrong choice and married a jackass. And no one is going to find out what I’m doing. She’d told her neighbours and her parents that she was going to Vegas to raise the money she owed on the divorce. Her old friend had recruited her as a blackjack dealer and she’d get paid by commission. And to Jared, she had simply told him to shut up and just wait for the money at the end of the month.

Sam twirled around and saw her barely covered ass in the mirror. The gown was short enough that if she bent down to pick something up, she would show off her glorious panties.

Panties.

After a hot bath, she had put on her own Kmart panties. Hauser had told her to wear matching undergarments to dinner. Sam swivelled and headed to the bedroom dresser. She pulled out a drawer. It contained lacy underwear and thongs. The second drawer was filled with sexy padded bras, bustiers and corsets. The third drawer had stockings, fishnets and ultra-expensive hosieries. Sam whistled while rummaging for the matching panties and stockings, feeling impressed. These lingerie came from the famous catalogues that she could never afford, or dream of wearing. Sam picked a pink lacy thong and a matching pair of stockings. They were made from some kind of soft lace that just glided and fitted snugly as if her second skin. No cheap stuff like the ones she usually bought. She took off her panties and changed them for the pink lacy ones.

She went back to the vanity to put on some finishing touches. Her makeup was in place, not overly done. Her hair was curled and arranged artfully on top of her head. She had never watched the anime Chobits. She just guessed and hoped she would get it right.

The clock showed it was eight o’clock. Time for dinner. Sam slipped on a pair of pink Mary Jane shoes and padded towards the door.

David had finished his second martini when Samantha arrived in the dining room. She was wearing the outfit that Adam had told her to don. She was totally adorable. The pink Lolita dress complemented her pale skin, and her fiery, flaming red hair contrasted against the whole ensemble. She didn’t wear too much makeup and she didn’t need to. Only dark eyeliner to accentuate her large, almond-shaped violet eyes, and she had rouged her sensual lips with red lipstick.

“Hello. I’m Samantha Knight.”
