She wasn’t one who put a lot of weight in the concept of “fate.” But maybe fate had a hand in where Agnes had become damaged.

Maybe it happened at the right time and place.

Maybe it was simply meant to be.

Now was not the time to analyze it since she had more important things to accomplish.

Like her second orgasm.

And Whip’s first.

If he stuck around, she’d make it up to him later by doing what she really wanted to do earlier… Give him head until he came. She couldn’t imagine he’d pass on that opportunity. She had always enjoyed giving it and most men enjoyed being on the receiving end.

He released her nipple with a wet pop and went nose to nose with her. “Gettin’ really fuckin’ close. Hope to fuck you’re close, too.” The strain in his voice was apparent.

Luckily for him, she was very close. “Keep going,” she whispered.

“Wasn’t plannin’ on stoppin’.”

“I meant keep doing exactly what you’re doing. That hip action is…”

That hip action paused.

She feigned a frustrated scream. “Whip!”

He chuckled and went back to business.

It was great business.

The best.

He definitely deserved a “ten” and some repeat business, too.

He drove his fingers into her hair, using his grip to tip her head back. He licked up the side of her neck, along her jawline, and took her mouth.

Yesssss. He was a good kisser, too. He wasn’t sloppy and his lips were firm. He took possession of her mouth, almost as if he owned it. Or at least, claiming it for himself.

A groan got caught between them as he powered in and up into her over and over, his pace no longer slow or steady but determined.

His determination paid off. Not even a minute later, the fire he’d been stoking flared up and sparks exploded through her, within her, burning her skin, blinding her, making her gasp.

He kept going, kissing her, fucking her. Riding the waves of her orgasm. He ended their kiss with a groan, shoved his face against her throat and grunted as he thrust one last time before going completely still, once again balls deep.

Even as her orgasm began to subside, she could feel his cock pulsating deep inside her as he came, his warm, damp breath sweeping over her throat, along her neck.

They stayed like that for what seemed like forever and a day.

His weight on her was heavy, but bearable, and she surprisingly liked it.

This whole night had been full of good surprises.

Releasing a groan, he lifted his head, gave her a quick kiss on the lips and rolled off her. The bed jiggled as he removed the condom, tied it shut and did who knew what with it. She wasn’t sure she wanted to know since he certainly didn’t get up to throw it out.

She laid on her back, panting, her forehead damp with sweat as she smiled up at the ceiling.

He was still out of breath, too, when he asked, “My final ratin’?”

She turned her head on the pillow to see him turned toward her, as well. “Hmm.” She rolled onto her side to face him. “I’d rate that a nine and a half.”

His eyebrows pinned together. “Only a nine and a half?”

“Well, that gives you something to work toward.” She did her damnedest to keep from grinning ear to ear.

“Damn, woman.”

Finally, she relented and let him see it. The one side of his mouth pulled up into his signature smirk.

“So… Mr. Tyler ‘Whip’ Byrne, do you have any plans for the next few nights?”

“Fuck yeah. To earn that fuckin’ ten.”

Chapter Ten

Fallon glanced at the bowl of condoms next to the bed. If she had to guess, there were at least two dozen left. Maybe more. That would last them the rest of her stay in Manning Grove as long as they didn’t stay in bed twenty-four-seven. Whoever left them had high hopes for Whip scoring tonight.

She heard the toilet flush and the sink run. He had waited for her to do her thing in there before taking his turn and also getting rid of the used condom.

Watching him walk naked out of the bathroom, she not only felt like a cougar, but a sex-starved one. She knew even before he had rolled out of bed to use the bathroom that one time with him would not be enough.

Her eyes tracked him walking through the room. She wasn’t lying to him when she told him he was smoking hot. While he had muscles, they weren’t overdone and he had enough flesh covering them making him a perfect cuddle candidate.

Cuddle.

That was a strange and unexpected direction of her thoughts. She hadn’t been interested in cuddling with a man for quite a while. Again, like the staring into each other’s eyes, cuddling was more of an intimate act usually not involved with casual sex.

All the encounters she’d had in the last few years ended up being no more than similar to a business transaction.
