Blood & Bones: Whip (Blood Fury MC 11) - Page 57

Some worthwhile, others not.

Those encounters had their purpose and that was it.

Just like her encounter with Whip.

Whip rounded the bed and he immediately went to where his jeans were discarded on the floor. She couldn’t help but be disappointed that he was ready to bolt.

But if he came back tomorrow night…

He slipped his cell phone from the back pocket of his jeans and checked it. She assumed for any missed calls or texts. But instead of pulling on his boxer briefs and jeans, he set his phone down on the nightstand and turned to toss his jeans onto the spare bed.

That was when she saw it.

His back.

A huge tattoo that matched the back of his cut exactly. The patches, the skull, even down to the dripping blood.

“Holy shit. How did I miss that?” Had she been so distracted by his good looks that she missed it somehow? Or was this the first time his back had been turned toward her?

It had to be the latter.

“What?” He glanced over his shoulder at her.

“Your tattoo. It’s…” Large. “It, uh… shows your…” Dedication? Were MCs like a cult? Was having their patches inked into their skin normal? “Loyalty,” she finished weakly. “Was that required?”

He dug into his cut and pulled out a tin and what looked like a lighter from an inside pocket. “In our club? No. In other clubs? Not sure.”

He turned and came over to the bed she was sitting on. The covers had been shoved to the floor and the top sheet was a balled-up mess from their very satisfying sexcapades. “Move over.”

With that order, she guessed he wasn’t rushing out the door. Relieved, she shifted over, giving him enough space to climb on and sit next to her. He leaned against the headboard attached to the wall, stretched his lightly hair-dusted legs out in front of him, crossed his bare ankles and placed the tin and lighter on the nightstand next to him.

The man had a very nice cock, even when it was soft, so she had to drag her eyes away from it to ask, “It wasn’t required but you did it anyway? What if you decide to no longer be a member?”

He huffed, reached over and popped open the tin, similar to the one she had sat on in the tow truck, pulling out what looked like a hand-rolled cigarette. “Ain’t gonna happen.”

She hated smoking. She was also damn sure that motels no longer allowed smoking in rooms. “There’s a saying and I’m pretty sure you know it, but… Shit happens.”

“I’m Fury through and through.”

The fortitude he said that with… “But what if—”

“Ain’t worried about it,” he stated with conviction.

“I guess it’s just like any other tattoo, you hope you don’t regret it later in life.”

“Ain’t gonna regret it.”

“I like your confidence.”

“Like yours, too.” He tucked the cigarette between his lips and grabbed the lighter.

“You can smoke in here?”

“Our motel, our rules.”

“I hate cigarettes.” She didn’t know too many people who smoked anymore. It was so damn expensive. More people seemed to be into vaping than smoking. She wasn’t sure if that was any cheaper. Or any healthier.

She had no desire to do either.

“Ain’t tobacco. Don’t smoke cigarettes.”

She wasn’t sure if that made it better or worse. It could be a clove cigarette but she doubted it since those were illegal in the States and she also couldn’t see the biker in her bed smoking one of those. Again, it had to be pot like in the container he had handed to Dutch. “Marijuana?”

He pulled the joint from his lips and nodded. “Yeah? You mind?”

“I’ve heard of wanting a cigarette after sex, but pot?”

“Ever try it?”

“Yes. A few times,” she admitted. “Mostly in high school and college when at parties.”

“You like it?”

“If I didn’t want to be productive, yes. It was a good way to relieve my stress from pushing myself so hard.”

“Tryin’ to get those good grades.”

“Yes. And keep my scholarships. Plus, land a good position in an organization.”

“Paid off.”

“Yes, it did.”

“Don’t gotta smoke it if it’s gonna bother you.”

She really liked that he took her into consideration. Just like during sex.

“We have no place to go and no plans to do anything productive, so…” She shrugged. “Your motel, your rules.”

“Won’t do it if you don’t want me to. Your room, your rules.”

“I appreciate that. Go ahead. If it bothers me, I’ll let you know.”

“Deal.” He wrapped his hand behind her head and pulled her closer. With a tip of his head, he indicated she should put hers in his lap.

This man was full of surprises. So far, all good ones.

She shifted to her back and dropped her head in his lap, staring up at him as he stared down at her. Once she was settled comfortably, he tucked the joint between his lips again, flicked the Bic and lit the end.
