The guests were still clapping, obviously not knowing what was happening right now. Maybe this wasn’t the best time to spill this, but it was one of the happiest days of her life, and she had been holding this in for a week now.
“It won’t just be the two of us for long, Reese.” She rose on her toes, and even with heels on Reese still towered over her. She said softly in his ear, “It’ll be the three of us in about nine months.”
He pulled her in for another huge hug and kissed her senseless. “Have I told you that I am the luckiest man in the world?”
She chuckled. “Yes, every day. And I’m the luckiest woman in the world.” She knew that everything was exactly how it should be. She’d been waiting for this moment, for Reese, for her entire life, and God, had it been worth every moment.
