He lifted his body off mine and finished undressing me. His eyes immediately noticed the tattoo of the phoenix just above my pubic bone. He looked into my eyes searching for an explanation, one that I was not ready to

give.

“And I meant what I said, Charlotte.” Trailing kisses down my body, he ordered me to sit up on the desk, my legs spread. He lowered himself onto my pussy, tasting it slowly, circling his tongue around my clit. He began to suck hard, my body wanting to convulse, again. Taking two fingers he slid them inside my pussy, fucking me with them, his cum mixed with mine dripping out. As the sounds got louder, his arousal came back. I wanted him, I needed to taste him again. I pushed his head away and directed him to sit on my desk. I squatted before him, taking him into my mouth. His cock tasted like my pussy which only turned me on more. I sucked on his cock, pulling on it as I bobbed my head up and down.

“I wasn’t finished with you,” he demanded.

“I’m not finished with you.” I stood up and climbed on top of him, thinking I was going to fuck him again but I decided I wanted to taste more of him. I turned around, positioning myself to sixty-nine. His body tensed, his groans intensifying.

“Oh fuck, baby, bring that pussy here,” he said before burying his face in me.

My moans intensified as I sucked on his cock. With every lick, I took him in deeper. With every mouthful I had of him, he sucked harder on my clit, moaning into my pussy.

“Lex, I can’t…take it anymore, I’m going to…” My body started shaking. I frantically grabbed his cock, sucking it hard while I came. It intensified as I felt that familiar taste, his cock emptying inside my mouth. His sweet tasting cum, I thought, savoring every last drop. My arms felt like jelly, but I managed to climb off of him and collapse on the desk. Thank God I had a big desk.

“When did you get the tattoo?”

“Back in college.”

“What is it?”

“A phoenix.”

He pulled my body up and handed me my clothes, then he watched me get dressed.

“Why are you taking your shirt off now?” I asked, curious as to why he was unbuttoning his shirt. Then he revealed it—his tattoo, in all its glory.

I don’t know what shocked me more, the tattoo or his perfectly sculpted abs. Without thinking I reached out and ran my fingertips along it; it was some sort of tribal tattoo but when I looked closely I saw its shadow was of a lion. It ran down the side of his torso, along his ribcage.

“Lions are a sign of power,” I mumbled to myself.

“Yes they are, and the Phoenix?”

I didn’t want to discuss it, not now, not here when I was so vulnerable. “It’s late,” I said. “We need to go.”

He didn’t push me for answers. He helped me tidy my desk as I shut down the computer. I grabbed my purse as well as my cell. The cell had a message; I must not have heard it over all the screaming.

Remember Batman has all these fancy tricks up his sleeve if you need a pick me up.

Lex saw me read my message, this time ignoring it. Then my phone buzzed again. It was Adriana. Shit, I forgot!

“Adriana.” I placed her on speakerphone so Lex knew I wasn’t making up a story.

“Charlie, I’m in your lobby! The doorman said he could let me up but I thought I would call you first.”

“I’m sorry, Adriana, I got caught up in something. Tell Jean he can let you in my apartment. I’ll be there in fifteen minutes.”

“OK sweetie, see ya soon.”

Lex grinned as he bowed his head.

“Why are you smiling like that?” I asked, unable to hide my own smile. I had to admit seeing him smile made my heart flutter. That stupid arrogant prick was so fucking beautiful.

“You know Adriana is going to ask you a million questions, right? She’ll want seven year’s worth of information in the space of an hour.” He chuckled.

“I know. I wouldn’t expect anything less from her.”

We entered the elevator. I leaned over and attempted to push the ground floor button. I felt his hand push mine away. He pressed the stop button.
