It’s five to eight. Time to go. I head downstairs and I’m about to sit in the lobby and wait when I spot a shiny black car waiting out front and I can already tell that it’s Vincent. I head out and he gets out of the car to greet me, kissing my cheek lightly. I know it’s common to do so with business associates, but we’ve only just met. The tingle of his touch on my cheek lasts much longer than it should. I should be acting professionally, but that all went out of the window the moment I met Vincent.
“You look beautiful,” Vincent growls in my ear. “Come with me. I’m taking you to one of the best restaurants in the city.”
He opens the car door for me, a true sign of a gentleman. As I’m getting in, his hand lingers on my back for a moment and I feel tingles travel up my spine that last until we arrive at the restaurant.
The place we’re going in is definitely swanky. The room is dimly lit by the chandelier hanging over the tables, and we’re seated immediately, despite there being a line.
“I’m a regular here. I get to skip the queue,” he murmurs to me as the waiter shows us to our table. “I don’t normally dine with such beautiful women, though. I guess they think this is a date.”
I desperately want them to be right. I want to believe that I’m something more than just Vincent’s employee. When he immediately orders us wine for the table, however, I know that it must be.
“My driver can take us home after. Drink as much as you like,” he says. “You can get used to this kind of treatment, too. I take care of my staff. Your salary will be substantial. You’ll never have to worry about money again.”
I blush. “I still can’t believe you picked me…”
“Believe it. Besides, I remember reading your application now. I looked over it when I got back to the office earlier. Your ideas and enthusiasm stood out. You’re going to be a great addition to my company.”
I blush even harder. “Thank you, sir.”
“Call me Vincent,” he says, raising his glass of wine to me. “We’re going to be working very closely from now on. I’ll make sure of that. Cheers.”
We clink glasses and I take a sip of the deep red wine. It’s incredible, but I’m already intoxicated by Vincent. I don’t think I’ll need to indulge too much in the wine.
“You’re different than women your age,” Vincent murmurs. “So much more mature, bursting with talent. I could tell from the moment I saw you. You’re special.”
“How can you tell?” I whisper. Vincent eyes me up, his dark eyes scorching my skin as his gaze travels over it.
“Because I wanted you from the second I saw you,” he growls.
Vincent
I’m moving too fast. I’m going to scare her off. But I feel like a caged animal waiting to pounce. I’ve needed her since I laid eyes on her. I’ve never had any desire to be with a woman like this before her, but now I know that all this time, I was waiting for her to come along. How can I stop myself from shooting my shot when she’s right in front of me, looking so beautiful and having dinner with me?
“You...wanted me? For the company?” she whispers. My eyes are drawn to her body again. Her full breasts, her pale skin, her piercing blue eyes. She’s so perfect. I look into her eyes.
“I think you and I both know it’s more than that,” I growl. “This tension between us...it can’t be ignored. I know you feel it too. I’ve never wanted any woman before, but that changed the moment I met you. I knew you had the potential for the company too, and if that’s all you want...then I’ll restrain myself. But I want so much more than a business relationship.”
Our feet bump against each other beneath the table. I reach out and trail a finger down her arm. She gasps, but her eyes stay fixed on mine. She’s breathing hard, transfixed.
“I want to take you home with me,” I growl. “I want to make you mine forever. I want to explore your body and hear you cry out my name as I fuck you. I know that I shouldn’t feel this way. You’re young and beautiful. You can have anyone you want. Not to mention that you’re my employee, some would say it’s inappropriate for us to work together. But I feel this need for you, Brianna. A need to have your body, to protect you, to make my life worthwhile. I want to give you everything and more. Be mine, Brianna. I don’t think I can stand if you walk away now.”
She looks shocked to the core. Maybe I’ve gone too far. Maybe I shouldn’t have told her exactly how I feel. But then I watch as she smiles at me, her eyes filled with lust and something else as she watches me.
