Tad rolled his eyes at his Free Speech and Ethics professor. Like they’d forget. If they didn’t pass it, they didn’t graduate. And no way was he not friggin’ graduating.

Laptop tucked away, Tad headed for the drop box, tossed in his paper, then hit the hallway. He wanted to bolt quick and beat the parking lot traffic so he could stop by Scott’s house for a few. Not long, though, since he still had last-minute assignments to do, but enough to tide him over until tomorrow. Tomorrow, when the gang converged at Scott’s to work out.

So far, the new set up had been working pretty great. His posse loved Scott’s gym. Scott seemed to like his posse. And Tad got to see his man for more than an hour.

During the week, that is. Weekends were different. Because weekends meant hanging out twenty-four-seven. Friday after work straight through to Sunday evening, crashing with his man every night. At least that’s how it’d been for the past two weeks, after Scott talked Tad into having their first sleepover. Not that Tad needed to be talked into that. Hell, he’d been on board before Scott finished giving the invite.

Tad shoved through the entryway doors with a smile, remembering a conversation from two Sundays back. At the end of their first sleepover, after they’d just finished fucking, the last romp of the weekend before Tad left. He’d been nothing but a sated heap atop Scott’s chest when, out of nowhere, Scott asked him to move in. Needless to say, Tad had been pretty surprised. But the more he thought about it, the more he’d liked the idea. Not just because it was spontaneous and crazy, but because it actually made a lot of sense. Way more pros than cons overall, and the next logical step in their relationship.

So, he’d agreed, but under one condition; that it didn’t happen until after graduation. No need to rush. They’d only become official recently. At first, Scott hadn’t looked especially delighted, hadn’t really wanted to wait. But as soon as Tad asked if he could bring stuff over ahead of time, that glint in Scott’s eyes quickly return. Along with that killer fucking smile he always rocked. Gave Tad a heart boner right along with his dick.

Tad grinned and hit the parking lot. He’d brought two boxes over this past weekend. Clothes and books and random shit. And man, Scott couldn’t’ve looked happier. So much so that for the next two days, he repeatedly showed his gratitude—rather vigorously.

Tad could still feel the after effects. In his muscles, in his ass. That deep delicious ache that kept on giving. Which made Tad kind of wonder. Was he walking funny? God, he hoped not, or he’d have to return the favor. His lips quirked. Maybe tonight, if Scott was game.

His Jeep came into view up ahead to his right, well beyond the bulk of student cars. Away from looming parking lot lights, away from all activity, patiently waiting for his return.

He pulled out his key fob. Its lights blinked in welcome. But as he came within meters, a Camaro rolled up, then hit the fucking brakes and blocked his path.

Tad stopped short, appalled. They’d almost hit his fucking Jeep.

The doors shoved open. Then three guys piled out. Tad tensed, recognizing two of them, but not in a good way. They were the dicks two weeks back that he’d given the bird to in response to their jeers at him and Scott kissing. Tad’s first display of public affection, and those douchebags almost ruined it.

Scott had straight-up seethed, ready to kick their friggin’ ass, but Tad had insisted on handling it. Diplomacy instead of violence and all that jazz. He’d merely chosen sign language to communicate. Sign language in the form of a great big fuck-you while he and Scott never once broke their kiss. Like hell would they give those pricks the satisfaction.

Although, what happened next probably pissed them off the most. When countless other peers on their way to their cars broke into applause at Tad’s brazen rebuke. Those asshats had been fuming when they stalked away. Should’ve known that that wouldn’t be the last of them.

Tad shouldered his bag strap higher, not liking the odds. He knew how to fight and all, but three to fucking one? Adrenaline kicked in, readying him for battle, but no way he was getting out of this unscathed.

One of the dudes he’d flipped off shut his car door with a grin. “What’s the matter, faggot? Not so brave without your boyfriend around?”

Tad didn’t bother replying, trying instead—like a moron—to go around them. Not that he thought they’d ever let him by. They’d come with a purpose. He could see it in their leers. A purpose that Tad didn’t want to think about.

The other dude he’d flipped off stalked up and shoved him. “He’s talking to you, queer boy. Don’t be rude. Fucking answer him.”
