Dare to Love (The Dare 4)

“Well?” Gemini pushed.
“Not such a low level operation. Security is high around a seven. I’ll need a little time.”
“Pinto, look up this guy Randall Syvretson. Find out everything you can on him,” Gemini said.
“You got it,” Pinto replied and began to work as well.
Gemini looked at his phone and saw it was Warner texting. He called him back.
“Hey, buddy, how did last night go?” he asked, knowing that Mercedes was with them and they hadn’t planned on letting her out of their sight. He thought that was the best
idea.
“It went well.”
“You breaking down those walls she’s got up so you can gain her trust?” he asked as they had talked about Warner leaving the job and no longer taking on private missions.
“I believe that is no longer a problem.”
Gemini smiled. He felt that twinge of envy. He wished he and his brothers could be as close as they used to be.
“I’m happy for you and your brothers. We’ll do our best to keep her safe. I have part of an update but we’re still working on things.”
“What do you have?” Warner asked.
“The name of the company setting up these bidding sites and the name of someone involved in the company. Not sure if he’s an owner or not but his first name starts with the initials of the company name. R.J.S. International. His name is Randall Syvretson.”
“Don’t know the name or the company. Where is it located?”
“That’s the thing—there are addresses for both Virginia and North Carolina. We’re working on it.”
“Wonderful. Keep me updated. I’ll probably be over there in a while.”
Gemini chuckled.
“Don’t leave your woman, Warner. We’ve got this and we’ll let you know right away if there’s an update.”
“Thanks.”

Warner rubbed his whiskers as he leaned against the bathroom counter. He was worried. Having Mercedes, taking her virginity and making love to her was amazing last night. He wanted her out of harm’s way, but his gut said the danger was still prevalent.
“Warner?”
He heard her voice and looked toward the doorway. She stood there holding a shirt against the front of her.
“I can’t find my clothes,” she whispered.
He smirked. Taylor had hid them knowing she would probably want to get up and get ready for work, but he wanted the morning with her still.
Warner stepped closer, pulled her toward him by the shirt she held, and then pulled the shirt away. He grabbed her hips and looked her body over.
“You don’t need any clothes. Not with this sexy body.”
“I’ll need them for work, silly,” she said to him and then ran the palms of her hands up his chest.
She was so sweet, sexy, feminine, and precious that he felt protective of her. He didn’t want to expose her to any more pain or fear. He wanted to keep her surrounded and that possessive feeling had him pulling her closer.
