Dare to Succeed (The Dare 2)

Monroe pulled from Alicia’s lips, lifted her up into his arms, and began carrying her over toward the large round lounge chair that could fit them all comfortably. It had an attached awning that hid the sun and a sheer curtain to keep out the bugs and provide privacy. He lay her down and sensed his brothers joining them. Placing his hand on her belly under her tank top, he stared down into her eyes. She lay there looking edible and also very afraid.
“Tell us what exactly you are afraid of and why, and we’ll work it out right now,” he said to her as he eased his hand under her tank top, teasing her breast but not cupping them.
Yet.
He saw her nipples harden beneath the tank and she squirmed as Caldwell joined her on the other side. Max leaned on his side below and began to caress her calf.
She looked at them then back to him.
“It’s not that easy,” she told him.
“Sure it is,” he said, easing higher and letting his fingers graze the underside of her breasts.
“Monroe,” she whispered. He kissed her neck.
“Yes, baby.”
Caldwell pressed his palm over her belly and hip then up under her tank top. “You have some body on you, Alicia. A body
I can’t wait to explore.”
She pressed her hand over Caldwell’s.
“We need to slow down. This isn’t fair. The three of you against one.”
“Awe, baby, I can guarantee that three on one will be quite the exciting experience for you,” Caldwell said then cupped her breast and ran his thumb back and forth over her nipple. Monroe chuckled but Alicia pushed his hand down and sat up. She crossed her arms over her chest.
“That’s what I mean. You guys are seducers. That’s not what I need in my life.”
She went to move and Monroe placed his hand on her belly while Max stood up and crossed his arms in front of his chest.
“Now wait one minute. We are not seducers. Sure we’re experienced and a bit older than you are but we’re mature enough to know what we want, and we want you, Alicia. In fact, if you’re willing to give us an ounce of trust we’ll prove to you that we’re honest, caring men. Hell, we can be demanding, but guaranteed you’ll love it,” he told her and Monroe heard her gulp.
“You’re very sure of yourself, Sheriff Gordon.”
He raised one eyebrow up at her comment.
“And you’re skating on thin ice calling me sheriff.”
“Well, you are the sheriff. You probably have an image to keep. One that keeps people guessing what you’re up to. With all the attention you get from the ladies, I don’t know if I want to be part of the local gossip.”
He uncrossed his arms. “People talk, Alicia. Ain’t nothing I can do about that. Nothing anyone says or thinks matters to me, but my brothers, and you do, and I’ll protect what’s mine with all I’ve got. You take your time to think that over, and when you realize I’m the real thing, that I will protect you with all I have to offer, then we’ll talk, just you and I.”
Monroe was shocked by his brother’s tone and words but they seemed to affect Alicia as she pulled her bottom lip between her teeth and nodded her head.
“I need to head back to work. You two take your time with her and let her know that we’re not going anywhere,” he said and winked at her before he headed out of the cabana and into the house to leave.
Monroe clutched her chin and stared down into her eyes.
“Tell us about your bad experience, Alicia, and we’ll tell you anything you want to know about us.”
She stared at him and then looked at Caldwell.
“It’s not that easy, Monroe.”
He ran his palm along her belly and held her gaze. She was so sweet, petite, and beautiful. It was hard to not want to explore her body further and bring her pleasure, but it seemed she was legitimately on guard and he wanted to know why.
“Let’s try this. Why don’t you ask us some questions? What would you like to know?” Caldwell asked, drawing her attention to him.
