“A lady does not kiss and tell,” Marlena said and winked at Alicia.

“That’s always the response from a woman who’s getting some. Damn, I’m jealous. I need to find a man,” Mercedes stated aloud.

“You could have your choice, Mercedes, working in the sheriff’s department surrounded by some of the hottest men around Chance,” Adele said.

“Says the woman who works for three sexy, hot brothers she has yet to sleep with.”

“Hey, I want to be more than just some roll in the hay or a servant in the office and out of it, thank you very much.”

“Keep telling yourself that, Adele,” Mercedes teased.

“Let’s get back to Alicia. I want details. How did it happen? Where did they kiss you first?” Marlena asked.

“Did you do them in their wine room or did they taste you on the wine-tasting table?” Mercedes asked and Alicia shook her head and widened her eyes.

“The wine-tasting table,” both Marlena and Adele said at the same time and they all started laughing.

“Cool it. I never said that,” Alicia said.

“You didn’t have to. It was written all over your face,” Mercedes said and fanned herself.

“My God, look at you, girl. You go. You so deserve good men that are going to take care of you and treat you right. If they do anything to hurt you, you better tells us so we can kick their butts,” Mercedes said and they all raised their glasses and cheered.

“What’s this about kicking butts?”

Marlena gasped as Danny and Jack appeared. Jack placed his hands on Marlena’s shoulders and her friends laughed.

Mercedes smiled. She was so happy for Marlena and for Alicia, too. She couldn’t help but be envious.

“What are you two doing here?” Marlena asked them.

“We heard that you ladies were here enjoying dinner and that maybe you were headed to Spencer’s next. Is that right?” Danny asked.

“All depends?” Mercedes said to them.

“Depends on what?”

“Are the drinks on the house?” she teased and the girls started laughing and cheering.

Marlena shook her head. “You fell right into that one.”

Jack smiled. “No problem, you’re a bunch of lightweights. How much could you possibly drink?” he said and Marlena smiled.

“Something tells me we’ll all be calling in late tomorrow for work,” Adele said and they all cheered.

Alicia was feeling a buzz and knew she needed to stop drinking. She never got drunk in her life and she sure didn’t want to now. Apparently Jack and Danny were concerned because a group of guys were coming onto Alicia and the girls, flirting and buying them drinks. Two of the guys were hitting on Alicia and she was telling them that she wasn’t interested.

“You got a boyfriend or something?” the one guy asked.

“She’s got three, buddy, I’d take a hike,” Mercedes said and then winked.

Alicia chuckled.

The guy went to touch her hair.

“I don’t see them here. If you were my woman, with this body, I wouldn’t let you out of my sight,” he told her.
