Town of Chance: Attacking Innocence (The Dare 8)

“He was here in town and they lost him?” Finn asked with Salvatore right beside him.
“Seems that way. The cops couldn’t clearly identify him and by the time they attempted to get a closer look they lost him in the crowd. He was there at Connelly’s,” Warner told him.
“Fuck. Did they get anything? A make of a car he was driving? Any clue?” Finn asked.
“They did, along with a partial license plate. But listen, Finn. That shit we went over the other day, it’s worse. These guys make people disappear and they keep their hands clean. Somers wants you to meet with him tonight. They want to flush this asshole Colton out. They think he could be a great informant and they want him,” Warner said to him.
“That’s just fucking great, and what about us? Does Somers have a way of protecting us so this guy doesn’t put a bullet in the backs of our heads?” Finn asked, looking at Salvatore who was just as pissed off and worried as he was.
“He has a plan. I think you don’t have much of a choice. These guys only seem to have their eyes on you and Salvatore. Before they do something like go after your brothers or Missy Ann, I think we need to make the first move and secure everyone’s safety.”
“Fuck,” Finn said.
“Fine. We’ll meet tonight. Where and what time?” Finn asked. When he disconnected the call Salvatore held his gaze. “Protecting Missy Ann, Antonio and Billy are our priority,” he said and Finn nodded. “These assholes are after us. Somers has a plan and Warner thinks we need to follow it. Let’s go tell them something came up with work. Antonio and Billy already know part of what’s going on. We’ll call them later to fill them in once we meet with Somers,” Finn told Salvatore.
“Okay. But they have to make Missy Ann stay with them at our place, just as a precaution.”
Finn smirked. “I think that was Antonio’s plan from the start anyway.”

Darius whistled low as he looked at the pictures Boston sent to him from Colton. “Damn, she looks sweet.”
“Anatoli will think so, too,” Boston replied.
Darius looked at him. “Anatoli? What do you mean?”
“I mean, this is how you get your ultimate revenge and keep your hands clean by not killing two cops. We sell her to Anatoli. He takes her wherever the fuck he wants to take her. It doesn’t have to even be to the Ukraine. Who the fuck cares. They’ll spend their time searching for her and losing their fucking minds. They’ll know that they’re the ones that got her taken.”
“Won’t that come back to bite me in the ass, too?”
“Nope. You know nothing. You say you didn’t even know they were the ones who killed your brother because you were not close to him. He didn’t work for you or stay in touch.”
Darius stared at the picture of Missy Ann.
“I think I’d like to meet her first.”
“No. No, Darius, that’s not a good idea. You’ll want to fuck her and knock her around and then send her off and they’ll figure shit out and you’ll go down. No,” Boston said to him but Darius just smirked.
“You don’t tell me what to do, Boston. It will work out fine. Plan for it to happen this weekend. Get her and bring her to the penthouse where the party is taking place. Anatoli will be there. He can sample her with me and decide.”
“You’re out of your mind. It’s a bad fucking idea. Really bad.”
“No it isn’t. They can’t find us. They don’t know about any of our involvement in anything. We’ve covered our tracks for years. The feds are stupid, and some measly state police investigator and detective in some local town are not going to be able to find her or us. Call Colton and tell him to get her here by Friday night.”

There were too many fucking cops around. It was already Thursday night and he had fucking hours to get her to New York. What the fuck?
Colt watched Missy Ann from the corner of the bar. He had to call in for some help and unfortunately on such short notice, only Lenny could come. He gave the dude very little information. He asked that he get Missy Ann to come to the side of the restaurant by the sitting area. It was a Thursday evening and the place was crowded but not by the outside away from the tiki bar and the gazebo. He could stick her with the needle then carry her through the bushes to the car. It had to work. He was running out of time.
Colt made his way to the outside, catching a look from Lenny who held a beer in his hand and watched Missy Ann. He hoped he pulled this off or Darius was going to kill him.

“Let me do the rounds now and then I’ll meet you in the back to go over those order sheets. I think we should be good with most of that stuff until Monday. Let’s see how this weekend goes. You did use a separate order form for the stuff we need for the parties Saturday and Sunday?” she asked Keith.
“Yes, I did, and Karl has all the liquor orders and he needs confirmation on the desserts from the people. We’ll take care of that tomorrow morning.”
