“I don’t know how to tell you this. I fucking don’t believe this.”
“What? What? Spit it the fuck out already.” Desi raised his voice, and Luke turned the magazine around to show him.
“The owners of the club are Nash and Riker Riley. Chastity’s been working with them this past month.”
Desi felt his blood pressure rising. He stared at Luke.
“They’re dead. They’re not taking Chastity from me.”
“Fuck, Desi, you’ve got to get this under control. You have to get Chastity back or just forget about her.”
“What are you talking about?”
Luke whispered to Desi so that the driver of the limo wouldn’t hear him. “If you don’t get her away from them, and they tell her about Maggie, and then you start interfering in her life, they’re going to investigate you.”
“So what? I don’t have a fucking record.”
“Your name was on the lease for Maggie’s apartment. They were federal agents, and if they dig deep enough, or have you followed, then what? Jose will fucking freak if this situation blows the whole operation.”
“Son of a bitch.” Desi ran his fingers through his hair. “Fuck, I can’t believe that this is happening. What are the fucking chances of this happening? I can’t give her up.” He leaned back and placed his fingers under his chin. He thought about what he could do, and then he looked at Luke.
“What if I threaten to kill them? What if I scare Chastity so much that she breaks up with them?”
“Then you’re giving up info on yourself that could be used against you later. I say, cut your losses and forget the bitch. She wasn’t even good in bed.”
“Says fucking who?”
“You. If she was, then you wouldn’t have strayed.”
“Fuck you.”
“No, fuck you. You need to get out of this, or you’re going to wind up having to knock off two retired agents, and Chastity as well.”

Chastity headed home after work. She couldn’t believe it. Friday night had been the best night of her entire life. She made love with Riker and Nash multiple times into Saturday morning. Sunday had been spent all day in Nash’s and Riker’s arms at their penthouse, where they cooked dinner together and talked about their lives. It was so wild, and she still couldn’t quite get her head around the fact that she was dating two men. She was in a ménage relationship, and proud of it.
Even though only a week had passed, it felt as if she had known Riker and Nash forever. How cliché was that?
After she took a quick shower then dried her hair, she placed the dress onto the bed. She would wear this dress this evening. She was going to be meeting them at Hidden Treasures. The best news she had gotten all day was an announcement in the newspaper by a reviewer for an elite New York magazine. They gave the highest rating of five stars to Hidden Treasures, plus wrote up a small article about the place, calling it a treasure of its own, right here, on the West Side of Manhattan.
She sent two copies of the magazine, with the article bookmarked and a small figurine of a mermaid to Riker and Nash. They should be getting it by the time she headed out to the club.
Smiling to herself, she pulled on the dress, fixed her makeup, then grabbed an overnight bag and her purse. She’d already called a taxi, since Riker and Nash would bring her home tomorrow.
She opened her door and gasped. There was Desi.
Her emotions changed from excited to scared shitless in a heartbeat. Her stomach instantly ached, and she couldn’t even find her voice. Desi stared at her with evil in his eyes.
He was a big man and towered over her. The expression on his face was one of satisfaction and trouble.
He closed the door, and she walked backward.
“Where are you going all dolled up?”
“Why are you here? Get out, Desi. I don’t have anything to say to you.”
He took a step toward her. “I have a lot to say to you.”
