Mastering the Art of Love (The American Soldier Collection 2) - Page 29

Jameson opened her door and escorted her out of the underground parking area, set aside for penthouse-suite residents. At least that was what the sign indicated both before the entryway and now that they were inside.

She should have figured as much.

They were still silent, but now Jameson took her hand and gave it a squeeze.

“Are you cold, baby?” he asked in a low, sexy tone. How could four simple words send sexual fire against her chest and straight into her pussy? She nodded, and he pulled her closer against his side. Her clit actually throbbed. Was that even possible? She had never been this in tune to her body before and especially her sexual organ. With every step, her pussy swelled as the friction between her thighs even aroused her oversensitive body. She felt her insecurities begin to overwhelm her. But what were the choices now, if not this? She could make them bring her home, to her place? That thought made her feel so insignificant and so out of their league. Two men with such charisma, wealth, and power would find her choice of dwelling a turn-off. Not that it was her choice, but it was where she lived. Freda knew, and Benny and Alvin, and they didn’t treat her any differently. They entered the private elevator.

She almost felt like crying. How had her life taken such a turn for worse instead of better? She had been struggling for years to achieve her degree and it was just a damn bachelors degree. It wasn’t like med school or a doctorate for crying out loud.

She wiped her eyes before the tear could fall. A glance at Jax and he still had that determined, CEO kind of expression. He was in charge. He had a plan. And then he pressed a key into a special area on the elevator panel. A few seconds later, the doors opened right into an elaborate entryway and formal living room.

“Please, come in and welcome to our home,” Jameson said as he led her in. Jax pulled the key from the panel and then the doors closed. He tossed those keys into a hunter-green marble bowl on top of a marble side table. She stood in complete awe. The place was ginormous. She wouldn’t even be able to pay for the bowl he tossed his keys into. Her shoulders slumped, and she clutched the tux tighter.

“This is where you live?” she asked, as her heels clicked on the marble flooring and Jameson led her further into the room. Thank God she wore the designer dress. At least in the clothing she felt closer to their level. Yeah, keep telling yourself that, Sparks.

Jax disappeared a moment as Jameson showed her around. These men were rich. They were wealthier than she imagined. She realized as she passed the modern kitchen, filled with stainless steel appliances and other appliances and contraptions, she had no idea what they were. But she did know that the kitchen was bigger than her entire apartment. That was another dose of reality.

He led her to another room as they passed the Houston skyline and windows that stretched from floor to practically ceiling. They were high up, and the view at night was gorgeous.

He stopped at another room where the view continued to take her breath away. Jax was there. He was fixing snifters of brandy and he downed one rather quickly. She paused where she was, concerned that he might get drunk or something.

“Jax?” she whispered, and he gripped the bar as if in deep thought.

Jameson began to take the jacket off of her shoulders. She was glad that the dress wasn’t ripped up top and only below.

“I need a moment, Mariana.”

She felt Jameson’s hands on her shoulders as he caressed her arms. She tried to look around the room, and then she spotted it. The painting from the gallery. Jack Vettriano’s Lovers and Other Strangers. She swallowed hard.

Jax followed her line of sight. She absorbed the structure of his face, the determined, muscular image he portrayed right now as he removed his tuxedo jacket. Dressed in all black, it made him appear mysterious, provocative and damn sexy. Every bit of her body was in tune to him as well as Jameson.

“I told you, it was one of my favorites,” Jax whispered, holding her gaze.

Jameson caressed a hand down her waist, across her hip, then to her belly. She closed her eyes and absorbed the feel of him and his actions like that in the painting. If she wanted them, she could have them. She could live for tonight, in this moment, and worry about reality tomorrow. This could be a fantasy come true. As a lover of art and the emotion it inspired, she felt herself ease into Jameson’s touch and await their guidance. Thoughts that these two fine men did things like this often only flashed into her mind. What did she have to offer them? Her body, perhaps her soul, because of the weak-minded fool she was? Why waste time and concern over the unknown when the present actions took precedence over all other thoughts?

She felt Jameson’s lips against the back of her neck. Tiny goose bumps scattered underneath her skin as her arms fell to her sides, a sure sign of her compliance and acceptance. His large, thick hand was pressed against her belly, and he used the knuckles of his other hand to glide up and down her back, against the fabric of the dress.

“You are so beautiful, Mariana. I’ve never been this attracted to a woman before. You make me want things,” he whispered then moved those kisses along her shoulder. His whiskers tickled her skin and burned her flesh. That stinging lit a spark of some sort, and all she could do was focus on her rapid breathing and Jameson’s. Then she sensed Jax directly in front of her. She inhaled deeply. His cologne filled her senses along with his masculinity. He was built well and solid. Even with eyes closed she could sense it.

She opened her eyes, could feel how glazed over they were. He appeared even larger in this enclosed space. Her nipples hardened to tiny buds, and she inhaled a shaky breath.

“Stay here with us tonight. Let us make love to you, Mariana. We need you desperately,” Jameson said as he began to lower the zipper on the back of her dress.

Immediately the material fell from her body, pooled to the floor, and Jax’s eyes widened then darkened. She wore a strapless bra and very skimpy thin thong panties with garters. The dress was very fitted and she didn’t want panty lines to show.

Jax licked his lips.

“Gorgeous.”

“Perfect,” Jameson said as Jax’s hand caressed over her ass then back toward the front of her body.

Jax stepped closer, cupped her face gently between his hands as he stared down into her eyes.

“Tonight you’re ours. Don’t think about tomorrow or anything that occurred earlier. Let us love you, Mariana.”

Her heart soared with excitement and desire. She was utterly turned on, and when Jax’s lips touched her own, she couldn’t resist touching him back.

She clung to him as he devoured her moans and explored her mouth. She felt Jameson’s hand move down her body pressing the panties out of the way then finding her clit.
