“Justice, if Sentinel is involved with the art and the illegal pro
stitution—”
“I get it, Vin. He could have been trying to get her involved or at minimum been trying to get her into bed. I’ll fucking handle it.”
“Okay. Call me in the morning and I’ll bring you up to date.”
“I’ll be there.”
Justice disconnected the call and ran his fingers through his hair. He felt tense, on edge, and angry. How long had Sentinel been hitting on her and trying to seduce her into bed? Why hadn’t she told them? Of course she was attacked tonight so maybe she hadn’t gotten the chance but what the hell? He was worried. He couldn’t let her go back there to her job and be around Sentinel or Phillips. Hell, how was he going to get her to stay away from any man other than him and his brothers? That would be the only way to keep his sanity and lessen his worry to nothing.
“What’s going on? Is everything okay?” Hunter asked him as he opened the door.
He looked at his brother. Hunter was in love with Ellie already. He was, too. If he told him and his brothers what was going on and about the investigation, the prostitution, and Sentinel having his eyes on their woman, all hell could break loose.
Hunter closed the door.
“Fucking tell me right now. This has to do with Ellie, too, doesn’t it?”
“Damn it, Hunter, just leave it alone for now.”
“No. I’m not leaving it alone. You weren’t there tonight to see that dick assault her, force his tongue down her throat and touching her, ripping her dress, hitting her. Now tell me.”
Justice took a deep breath as the door opened again. This time it was Mace. “What’s going on?”
“Tell us,” Hunter stated, and Justice looked at Hunter and Mace.
“All right, but try to stay calm and please don’t freak out. Ellie has had enough upset tonight, she doesn’t need more.” Justice explained about the investigation, the phone call from Vin, and about the gallery video.
“That’s it. She’s done working for him. What if he wants to take her somewhere and sell her off like some sex slave? What the fuck?” Mace said as he began pacing the hallway.
“She didn’t even tell us about Sentinel hitting on her. She’s keeping secrets,” Hunter said, and his expression looked both hurt and angry.
Justice placed his hand on his shoulder. “She couldn’t have told us because we didn’t talk to her then. When she got to work, Paul attacked her. There was no time.”
“But you said they were in his penthouse having lunch and wine a few weeks ago. He’s been trying to get her into bed from the start. Hell, look at her body, her personality, and anyone can see she’s perfect,” Mace added.
“Mace, she hasn’t been with anyone in over a year since she was assaulted. We’re the first men she’s been with.”
“What are you going to do?” Hunter asked him.
“I need to talk to her about it. I need to ask her some questions to see if maybe there was something in their conversation that could help our case.”
“Well then, let’s talk to her,” Mace said, opening the door.
“All of us?” Hunter asked.
“No. Just me. You two need to calm down,” Justice said and then entered the bedroom. Ellie and Seno weren’t there but he could hear them talking. They were in the bathroom.
He walked in just as a very naked, beautiful Ellie was being assisted into the Jacuzzi tub by Seno. She moaned as she got under the warm water, and he felt his cock harden.
“Are you sore, baby?” Justice asked, and both she and Seno turned to look at him. Seno gave a wink and Ellie smiled.
“This feels great. I’m sure after I soak a while I’ll feel even better.” She leaned back in the tub.
He walked over and sat on the step that led into the big Jacuzzi tub. He glanced at Seno, and Seno squinted his eyes at him then turned toward the doorway. There were Mace and Hunter.
“Ellie, I need to ask you some questions.”
