Double Trouble (The Sinful 7 of Delite, Texas 5)

She wanted this for her sister. She wanted Sally to feel loved, cherished, and cared for. She needed to know that abuse was in the past and that real men catered to and cherished their women.
“It’s nothing. Don’t worry.”
Michael turned her around so that she faced him. Chad kept his hands on her shoulders, and Michael stepped between her now-open legs and placed his hands on her thighs.
“Are you hiding something from us?”
She looked down at his large hands that now gave her thighs a gentle squeeze. She shook her head and he stepped closer.
“Alexa?”
She looked up toward Michael’s face, and he looked serious. He was a pro at questioning people, but she wasn’t going to be interrogated by her boyfriend. Her sister asked her not to say anything, and so she would keep that secret.
“Nothing is wrong. I was bored of the movie, that’s all.”
“Why don’t we head over to our place? You grab some things and stay over,” Chad stated from behind her. She tilted her head up toward him.
“I want to stay here tonight. Can we pick out another movie?” she asked.
“Only if we can watch it in your room.” Chad leaned down and kissed her neck then nipped her earlobe. She chuckled.
“Okay. Let’s go.”
Michael lifted her up so that she straddled his waist.
“You better not be trying to hide something from us. If I find out you did, you’re in serious trouble.”
She swallowed hard. She had to do this for Sally. She’d promised.
Alexa wrapped her arms around Michael’s shoulder then kissed him.
“I need you inside of me.”
His eyes appeared to darken and a look of hunger overtook the dark blue.
“Let’s go.”

The band was playing “She’s Country” by Jason Aldean at Nathan’s Bar and Grill. Sally was enjoying herself as she sipped at a beer and Garret played with her hair. It was crowded, and he was sitting mighty close to her. They had talked about Dixie Chix, about bartending and running a business. He would inch closer and act like they were an item instead of on a first date. But, what did she know? This was a first for her. In her mind, she would like to skip all the red tape, the dating, the courting process and just have a boyfriend, but as the thought crossed her mind, a funny feeling hit her gut.
Garret inhaled next to her hair, and she was glad she had used some of that fancy shampoo she ordered online. She really didn’t mind at all. His cologne was enticing, and his large muscles, big blue eyes, and wavy blond hair made him an instant attraction. She noticed the looks women gave her and the ones that he received. He was being a gentleman though, and focused solely on her. They sat in the corner of the bar, where it was a bit darker than the rest of the place. It was so crowded, it really didn’t matter. People were everywhere.
He moved his arm over the back of her barstool and leaned in real close to whisper to her. His lips touched her ear and she shivered.
“I’m so glad you decided to accept my invitation tonight, darling. You’ve made me a very happy man.”
She felt the palm of his hand smooth along her thigh.
She had that sensation of uncertainty again, and in her mind she thought she really didn’t like the way he said “accepted invitation.” It was a date. She wasn’t going to have sex with him.
“I want to kiss you.”
She turned slightly in surprise at his words, and his lips pressed against hers. He kissed her deeply, and she realized in that moment that she felt absolutely nothing. Not a Goddamn thing.
Sally was disappointed. It had been a nice date thus far, but if there wasn’t an attraction, then she couldn’t force it. She didn’t want to be rude, so she allowed him to kiss her until she felt his hand press farther between her crossed thighs. As she covered his hand with hers, he pressed harder, and he held her head so he could continue to kiss her, and then Sally felt another body behind her.
She couldn’t turn to see whom it was as Garret slowly released her lips. His eyes appeared different. She couldn’t quite decipher how so, but it was there. He smiled against her mouth, and the panic feeling began to hit her gut.
