“You’ll do exactly what I say, Sage.” He pulled her arms behind her back, as he maneuvered her further up against his body so he could lick her neck. She tried turning her head to get away from him when he scraped his teeth against her shoulder to her breast. Using one hand to restrain her wrists, he used the other to cup her breast and squeeze it hard.

“Ouch!” she cried out. He stared at her. “These are mine now. Those men you were fucking will never get to have you again. You’ll pay for that, too.”

“Boss, we got a problem,” the driver stated. Brent looked over her shoulder and cursed.

“Drive through them!” he yelled, and the driver gunned the vehicle. Sage was tossed to the side. She rolled and hit the door and then looked up in time to see the row of SWAT and police. They’d found her. Her men had found her.

She felt the car jerk to a hard stop. They both hit the back of the front seat.

In front of them, men on motorcycles were tearing through the small space the police hadn’t blocked. The SUV turned around and headed back the other way along with other motorcycles.

“Shit, we’re trapped,” the driver yelled as the SUV came to a halt.

“No, we’re not. I was prepared for this. That’s what all the C-4 was for,” Brent stated, and then reached down into the duffel bag and pulled out some sort of device. He smiled and looked at Sage. “Say good-bye to your boyfriends forever.” He hit the button and an explosion rocked the front of the building. The police and the line of SWAT disappeared behind a wall of fire and smoke.

“No!” she screamed as she slammed his head against the side window stunning him. The truck started to move, but she reached for the handle, opened the door, and dove out. It took her a moment to recover from hitting the ground but she could see help in the distance.

Shots fired, and ricocheted around her. The police were shooting at the guys on motorcycles and they were shooting back. Another explosion erupted as she heard Brent’s yell.

“Get back here, Sage.”

She was running for her life. She screamed as a motorcycle sped by her, then another one, and then shots fired taking out one of the guys as his bike slid across the concrete. She looked over her shoulder. There was Brent, hopping on a motorcycle and heading toward her.

She didn’t think twice, as she ran for the motorcycle that lay on the ground, tilted it up, hopped on the bike, kick-started it, and revved the handles. A quick glance over her shoulder, and she saw Brent about to reach her. She took off for the smoke-filled area, uncertain what may be beyond the smoke and flames. It was do or die, and she wasn’t going to die by Brent’s hands.

Matt, Quaid, Dale, Virgo, Mark, Wyatt, and Kenny had their guns drawn and were helping to arrest a group of guys who were fleeing the burning warehouse while the Federal agents and SWAT members were fighting off more people and helping those injured by the explosions. It was total chaos, when suddenly they heard the sound of motorcycles heading from the fire and smoke. Looking up, Virgo couldn’t believe his eyes, there was a woman, doing a wheelie out of the flames, and then landing on both tires speeding toward them.

“Sage! It’s Sage!” Dale yelled.

They saw the other man behind her, and Virgo instantly knew that it was Brent. He aimed his gun about to fire, but someone beat him to it, taking out Brent’s tire. The bike flipped, and Brent tumbled multiple times before landing face forward on the ground. In no time federal agents surrounded him as Sage skidded to a halt right in front of them.

Her top was ripped, her body and face battered and bleeding, but she was alive, and the most beautiful, sexy sight he ever saw.

“Holy shit!” Quaid yelled out as they all ran to her. She practically fell off the bike and into Quaid’s arms hugging him.

“My God, baby, what the hell did you think you were doing?” Matt asked her, looking her over, as well as Kenny and Wyatt and the others.

“Trying to get back to you, Matt. To all of you,” she said, her lips bleeding, eye swollen, blood on her knees and thighs, and her voice shaking with emotion. She was running on adrenaline. Virgo knew that look, and her body’s response, but he was just so relieved that she was here and she was alive.

“Where the hell did you learn how to ride like that?” Kenny asked, as he squinted his eyes at her.

“Young lady, I don’t expect any more drive-bys in Pearl ever again,” Wyatt reprimanded, and she lowered her eyes and hugged Quaid’s neck.

“That’s her last wheelie, Wyatt. We’ll be sure to take care of her punishments, don’t you worry about that,” Matt stated, and they all chuckled except for Sage.

“You can’t punish me.”

“Why not?” Dale asked and then kissed her shoulder.

“Because knowing how to ride like that just saved my life.”

“She’s got a point, guys,” Kenny said and winked at her.

She smiled. “Can we go home now? I just want to go home.” She closed her eyes and remained against Quaid’s chest.

“More like to the hospital, honey. I’ll meet up with you guys there, and go over everything with Sage,” Mark stated and then headed toward the agents that had Brent under arrest.
