“How so? Because Bryant is struggling and refuses to face his emotions and accept that his family loves him no matter what?”

“Pretty damn much,” Quinn replied and they were silent a moment.

“I need to go slow with this relationship. I have trust issues, in case you all haven’t realized that.” She snuggled closer to Kenny while Quinn caressed her legs and Blake played with her hair, running his fingers through it.

“Tell us about your life, Lena, and we’ll tell you anything you want to know about our lives,” Blake challenged her.

She felt the tightness in her chest, but she did want to trust them and know more about them.

“Well, let me ask my questions first.”

“Shoot, darling,” Quinn teased.

“What was it like growing up with three dads and one mom?”

“She shot for the big one right off the bat,” Blake teased.

“It was amazing, I think. I mean we have a wonderful, loving family. Our mom and dads love one another, and they each bring something different and amazing to the family,” Kenny stated.

“We never felt unloved or as if it wasn’t normal or right. Around Pearl, these types of relationships are cherished, respected, and known to last a lifetime. It’s not for everyone, Lena, but it’s what we want for each other,” Quinn stated.

“Yeah, we talked about it four years ago and finally made an official conscious decision to give it a whirl,” Blake told her.

“Do you mean you tried this with a woman before?” she asked hesitantly. Instantly, she had a jealous feeling in her gut. It surprised her. When had she become possessive of them just like they were acting possessive of her?

“No, Lena. We thought we had found a woman to share, but on the first night we all met her together, we clashed. It was a mess,” Blake admitted.

Quinn caressed her thigh, running his hand up under her shorts to her inner groin. She felt the chills inside as she maneuvered her thigh.

“We never felt the instant attraction and protectiveness we felt like we did when we each met you, Lena. It was powerful,” Quinn admitted.

“Frighteningly so. I wanted to tear someone a new fucking asshole when I walked into Rocky’s and saw the way those men were staring at you, wanting you. If it weren’t for Blake, I would have been in a heap of trouble,” Kenny stated, sounding all riled up and tense as she lifted her head to look at him.

“You did look pissed off at my uniform. I thought you didn’t like how I looked in it.”

“What?” Kenny asked.

“You looked fucking hot, Lena, and that’s when we knew that it would kill us if any other man had you,” Blake added.

“If it makes you feel any better, I hated that damn uniform. I hated the hands touching me and trying to push up my skirt. I’ve been dealing with men like that for far too long, and I’m only twenty-one.”

“Let’s not talk about it anymore,” Kenny replied then shifted his body so that Lena now laid her head on the bed. He had his head by her shoulder, and Quinn’s was near her thigh. Blake remained where he was in front of her.

“Were you really homeless, Lena?” Blake asked her, and she closed her eyes then turned to her back.

Quinn laid his head on her thighs and looked at her as she reached up to play with Kenny’s chin and cheek as Blake caressed her belly.

They were all touching and it felt really comforting.

Quinn could tell that this was tough for Lena. He never talked so much to a woman before, and he had to admit that he enjoyed it with Lena. His real concern was her affection for Bryant and his place in their relationship. They hadn’t cut him off just yet, despite his actions this afternoon.

Lena tensed up and then began to explain.

“I hung out and started staying over at friends’ houses by the time I was fi

fteen. I tried to stick it out for a while with my mom, but she was drunk all the time and bringing in men.”
