“What can I say babe, you’ve left me with a hunger I doubt will ever die.”
He flipped us around, so I was once again on my back, beneath him.
Even though I was still sore, the minute he slid inside me all I could think about was the immense pleasure he was ricocheting through my body.
Another handy tidbit about sleeping with an Incubus, not only could he steal your life force, he could share his own as well.
By the time I left his room, the only signs of what had occurred last night, was the spots of blood adorning the top I had stolen from him.
We both left our mark on each other’s body and soul; I just wondered whose soul would be darker by the end of it.
Adiran was waiting back in my room, with displeasure clear on his face. I knew he wasn’t going to be happy with my part time banishment of him, but I couldn’t be bothered to deal with his petty little dramas.
“I have been waiting for you my dear, I returned, and you were nowhere to be found. Why would you hide yourself away from the shadows?”
“I needed some time to myself, but I’ve had enough space. Tomorrow will be the day when my fiancé will emerge victorious, whoever that may be. I can’t claim to be excited by the whole thing, so instead I have chosen to have a little fun.”
Adiran’s mouth spread into a wide smile, as it dawned on him just what I had planned.
I summoned for a creature and prepared my room while I waited, I was not the most patient person, but this was ridiculous. The creature finally arrived and shuffled into my room. It was sweating profusely and it was shaking like a leaf.
It refused to raise its eyes up to look at me, all four of them fixed to some point on the boring floor.
I approached it and wrapped my hand around its little neck, as it began to quiver with fear.
“Relax poppet, you’re not the one I want to experiment on,” I stated, and it earned me eye contact from the pathetic little thing.
“T-t-then w-what do you want?” It stuttered, clearly controlled by its nerves.
“I want you to be my starter, before I find the main course.”
Its eyes grew wider as I picked it up and slammed it into the floor, watching the cracks that snaked themselves over the ground and up the wall. It was almost hypnotic, watching them grow longer and longer, as I continued to slam it down.
Once I had grown bored of that, I tried to shoot fire out of my hands, but nothing happened yet again. I got so angry and the next thing I knew it was raining, in my room, down in the Underworld.
Shit like that didn’t happen down here, but it was fun when a lightning bolt shot out and went into the pitiful thing. I jumped up and down in glee, clapping joyously.. I had another power, hopefully this would be more reliable than the fire was proving to be.
With the euphoria waning I grabbed my blade and stroked it against the creature’s cheek, drawing a thin sliver of blood. It whimpered constantly, but it was growing tiresome as I decided to slide the blade down my palm and then squeezed my hand into a fist. My blood slowly began to drip onto its face and its screeches sang throughout the room.
Ever since I found out what my blood could do to the ground, I had been dying to try it out on a living creature, and I couldn’t be any more pleased by the outcome.
By the time I was done, its face resembled the craterous moon and the rest of its body hadn’t fared much better. Pretty much every hole I caused, burned all the way through, some even continued down through the floor. It was mesmerising to watch and then its voice joined with the others inside my mind. But unlike the others, this one was not happy and welcome, this one was villainous and filled with poison.

A few of my most trusted rebels, were meeting with me within a heavily secured room, no one could enter without my permission. Luckily, I hadn’t felt the need to rescind any invitation yet, but I was far from complacent.

; As I sat there looking between Janelle, David, Ishira, Calder and Nora. Their own secrets aside, I had yet to find a reason why any of these would betray me and I knew I had to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Calder was the brother water Nymph I met with when I needed to ask questions about Pearl. There was a slight atmosphere between us, but I could only hope it wasn’t anything personal.
We just finished discussing whatever options we had to obtain Nyakesh’s whereabouts, but it was not proving easy. She was shielding her location from us and we were drawing up blanks. I’m not sure which one of turned on the television at that moment, but our attention was soon ensnared by the Goddess who stood facing the camera on one of the news channels.
