“You really did that?” she gasped.
He nodded his head, his sly grin on his face. “I did. So, is that a yes?”
“Of course, it’s a yes! I’ve got to call Talia! I’ll do that on the way to the airport,” she mumbled more to herself than him.
She jumped off her stool, gave him a quick kiss and then ran upstairs to hastily pack a suitcase. She was an expert in the department and was back downstairs in fifteen minutes, declaring she was ready for departure. A warm beach, the ocean and Ben sounded too good to spend another minute agonizing over what to wear. She’d be in a bathing suit or naked most of the time anyway, she mused.
“Ready?” he asked with surprise written all over his face.
“I am, now hurry up. I’m ready to go.”
He wrapped her in his arms and kissed her soundly. Every day got a little better with Ben in her life.
