“I might have superpowers you don’t even know about yet,” I said, a surge of adrenaline going through my blood. The alcohol was having its way with me, and now I was straying far from my safe spot of historical facts into sauced-up attempts at flirting.

“Oh yeah? Like what?”

“Like…” I said, glancing around ahead of us. “Like, what if I give the best blowjobs in the world? And I don’t even know it yet?”

Brody pulled in a big, mock gasp. “Logan,” he said, his voice low. “Wasn’t expecting you to say that.”

My heart rate was quickening, just a little, but I was having too much fun to stop now. “What? I mean, someone in the world has to be the best blow-job giver, right? It could be anyone. Granted, it’s probably somebody who’s given hundreds of them. There’s no reason to think it would be my inexperienced ass. But it could be. You never know.”

Brody was grinning ear to ear. “You never know ‘til you try,” he said.

Another jolt of adrenaline ran through me. “Want to be my test subject?”

Brody stopped in his tracks, pulling in a breath. “Damn, roomie,” he said. “You keep talking like that and I’ll need to find out.”

I was trying to hold back my smile. I shrugged one shoulder, pretending to be as nonchalant as possible. “Maybe you will find out.”

Brody let out a muffled groan and in another instant, he was holding my arms, pushing me back up against the brick building behind us on the street. I pulled in a breath, shocked by the sudden movement as he leaned in and pressed his lips to mine.

Talk about fucking dreamy.

The building was cold against my back, even through the hoodie, a stark contrast to Brody’s inviting, warm bulk up against my chest. My body responded instantly. I’d already been trying to tease him and now his body was up against mine, basically pinning me to the building. I was lost in his warmth.

We were the only people on the street, and a small awning above the building protected us from the slow flurries of snow.

This was my life. My real life. And I never would have known I could experience something this wonderful.

I let myself sink into his touch. I melted beneath his arms as he kissed me, and I opened my mouth to his, letting my tongue slide against his. I was getting harder and harder under my pants, and after a minute, I couldn’t help myself from letting my hips rock forward against his thigh. There was no doubt he’d know exactly the reaction he was getting out of me.

“You are so fucking hot,” he murmured close to my ear after pulling back. Hearing him so close to my ear sent sparks through me, and I reached out to grip his waist like I was holding on for dear life. Like I might teeter over if I didn’t have him to hold onto.

“I am… not used to hearing something like that,” I said softly, trying to remind myself to breathe. Why was it so hard to even breathe when I was this close to Brody’s face? It was like my whole body went into overload, so hyper-aware of the reality of seeing him this close up. The plush of his lips, still glistening from our kiss. The faintest hint of five-o-clock shadow coming in on his jaw. The locks of chestnut hair above his ear, that always smelled so comforting.

I was so torn between just wanting to watch him and wanting to crush my lips back against his, to kiss him and never stop kissing him until I had to break for air.

I could have stayed right there forever, in awe and disbelief, a little moment frozen in time as the snow fell all around us. Our own little snowglobe. Our private, beautiful world.

“Well, if you’re not used to hearing how hot you are, you better get used to it quick,” Brody murmured, letting out a slow breath. He nuzzled up against my skin, stationed in the crook of my neck. “I’ll tell you every damn day if you need me to. You deserve to hear it. It’s the truth.”

I swore my heart could burst. “You’re just saying that because you’re drunk.”

“I’m saying it because it’s true,” he said, punctuating his words with a little kiss on my neck. “And believe me, I thought you were hot way before I got drunk.”

He returned the gesture that I had given to him moments earlier. He rutted up against my leg, bucking his hips just once, and I could feel his thick erection through his pants.

“God,” I whispered. “How is it possible that I already miss your cock even though I’ve only seen it once?”

Things I never would usually admit were flowing out of my mouth like a damn river tonight. Everything felt different. I barely even felt like myself.
