Blaze (Virtues & Lies 3)

“When it comes to it, all that will matter is that it’s you and him. That’s all that mattered to me. It was me and Casper. It didn’t matter that our wedding was a bit bonkers and thrown together from nothing. It was the promise of being his wife and having that gesture or hope of a future together. Don’t you want that with Leo?”
“Here’s the thing, I don’t need any of that because I know we have a future together. The way he loves me…” She takes a deep, teary breath. “Fleur,” she whispers hoarsely. “I don’t want to let him down or disappoint him. Leo’s all about the little things and gestures, and I don’t want to do the wrong thing by him. I want him to look back on our wedding day and want to do it all over again.”
“And you don’t think that’s how he’ll feel waking up next to you every day? Even though all he wants to do right now is marry you?”
“How did you become the sense talker?” A low, wet giggle escapes her. “How did we go from talking about me losing my virginity and anal in a bathtub to this?”
Looking in the mirror, I take in the woman reflected back at me. Not much has changed in my physical appearance. However, the way I feel looking at myself…it’s different. Better.
“I got knocked up, went on the run, had a home birth, and got married in under a year. I think somewhere along the way I started to see everything differently.”
“If you leave London, I might have to move in with you guys once in a while.”
“So long as you can put up with our brood of noisy kids, you’ll be more than welcome.”
“A brood.”
“A big motherfucking brood.”
“The pair of you are crazy.” We’re both quiet for a moment, me applying my lipstick neatly so that I don’t end up with a trout pout and Cassie probably doing the same from the sounds of her popping her lips. “Happy Birthday, babe.”
“You’ve already wished me that.”
“I’m wishing it again since I’m only going to see you at the ballet.”
“Do you honestly have no idea what Casper’s planning?”
“No, she doesn’t!” His voice wraps around me like silk.
Standing in the doorway in his tux trousers, dress shirt, and bow tie, Casper looks like a clothed Adonis. And those tattoos with the smirk he’s giving me as he looks up and down my body…lethal.
“See you later, alligator!” Cassie sings from the counter.
“In a while, crocodile!” I sing back before ending the call.
While I meander to him, Casper’s eyes don’t leave mine. He’s got that cat-got-the-cream grin on his face that tells me he’s plotting away.
“You look hot,” he tells me when I stand in front of him. His hands band around my bare midriff that my black crop top and high-waisted midi skirt leave exposed. “Maybe we should fuck tonight off in favour of some proper alone time.”
I want to take him up on that offer. My body is already primed and ready by the mere sight of him all dressed up.
“You’ve got that look in your eyes, Trouble.” He leans over me, crowding me with his brawn.
“What look?”
“The one that says you’re so fucking wet that you’re dripping down your legs.” Rumbling into my ear, he turns me in his arms, walking me to where my wedding shoes are sitting. Hands following down the curves of my body, he lowers behind me to a crouch.
My heart pounds. My pussy tightens. My breaths shallow.
All while he eases my feet into my shoes, one and then the other. He fastens the straps around my ankles, and when I’m that bit higher than before, his face presses to the V of my thighs.
“So wet I can smell you.” He inhales so deep that my own lungs tingle. “Ready for me to feast on your tight cunt.”
“Fuck,” I breathe as he stands back up, body flush to mine.
“Believe me, I’m going to. I’m going to fuck you so good, you’re going to wish every day was your fucking birthday, sweetheart.”
