With Belle, he would be honest, and show her she was worth everything to him. This woman, without even realizing it, had given him a second chance, the best kind he could ever think of.
Pulling all the way out only to slide back inside her, he watched her, took his entire fill of her, and couldn’t get enough of all things that were Belle.
She was his life, his very reason for existing, and as he slammed in deep, he knew he’d made the right decision going to her private booth.
Plunging in deep, he filled her to the top, and as he came, he did so roaring her name. Wrapping his arms around her, he kissed her shoulder, neck, and basked in knowing she would soon be his, all of his.

“Isn’t taking the test a little pointless now?” Belle asked a week later.
Diego held the pregnancy test, which she refused to take. He’d tried to push it into her hand, but she wasn’t having any of it. The last thing she wanted to do was to take that test. It scared her. There would be so many changes.
The first one was her father had told her he was selling his home and moving closer to her. She could understand that. It was the home he’d shared with her mom, and well, being with Diego and finally experiencing love, she wanted the same for him. He’d made a full recovery, much to the surprise of the doctors. Belle didn’t doubt it though. Her father was a tough fighter, and he wouldn’t let anything keep him down, not even a bullet wound.
“It’s not pointless. We’re going to be married in a couple of days.”
“I know.” She still remembered the horrible dress fitting. The woman had picked out what felt like a hundred wedding dresses. Charlotte had loved them all, but Belle had to go on feel.
The moment she had on the right dress, she knew it would be perfect. For two days she had to do that, and she was tired of this wedding already. She’d asked Diego if they could just elope. She’d never been the kind of girl to sit around dreaming about her wedding day.
Diego let out a sigh. It wasn’t the first one he’d given her either. He seemed to be doing it a lot lately, and she wasn’t even trying to piss him off or annoy him. It seemed it came naturally to her right now.
“Something is bothering you,” he said.
“It’s nothing.”
“You can’t lie to me, baby. I know you. I know when something is bothering you, and it’s time you tell me.” He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her in close. Every time he did this, she felt safe, complete.
“I’m … what if I am pregnant?” she asked.
“Then we’ll take care of it.”
“Get rid of it?”
“Hell, no. What the fuck? You want to kill our child?”
“No, no, no.” She put her hands on his chest, not wanting him to let her go. “What if I’m a bad parent? I can’t see.” She pressed her lips together, suddenly overwhelmed with emotion. “There’s no miracle cure for me, Diego. I’m blind. What if it makes me a bad mother?”
“It’s not possible.”
“How can you know that?”
“Because I know you, and no matter what, you could never be bad at anything. Our child, our children, will be loved and protected with you around. You’re not a bad person.”
“You have so much faith in me.”
He cupped her face, staring into her eyes. “It’s not hard to do. This love I feel for you, it’s all for you. Not a moment goes by when I don’t think about you. Before I met you, Belle, I was nothing. I was a shell of a man with no direction, no passion, but you’ve come into my world and completely shattered who I am. You’ve made me care about you. That kind of love, it doesn’t go away easily.”
“You always know what to say.”
“If you’re pregnant, we’ll take care of it, meaning we’ll plan and we’ll prepare. You won’t be alone during this. I will be with you every single step of the way. There’s no way I’d let you push me aside for this.”
She rested her head against his chest. “How did I get so lucky?”
“Luck has nothing to do with this. We’ve got each other, and that’s what has been missing from our lives from the start. I love you, Belle Johnson, and regardless if this test comes out positive or negative, I’m going to always love you. Every single second of every single day of our lives.”
She couldn’t help but smile. “You’re very romantic.”
“You bring it out in me.” He kissed her lips. “Now, I’d really like to know if I’m going to be a baby daddy or not.”
“You could qualify as a sugar daddy. You are old enough.”
