Obsessively Yours (Joe & Ella 1) - Page 49

“Well maybe weekends then.” He compromised and I nodded.

“I’ll hold you to that ace.” I kissed him and smiled. This man was going to ruin me. I didn’t know how I would ever get over him and I hoped I’d never have to.

That evening we didn’t join the rest of the guests in the large grand dining room, instead Joe had arranged for a private butler to serve us dinner in our room along with enough champagne for us to drown in. After dinner we took our glasses outside to one of the balconies and even though it was freezing outside we sprinted to the hot tub and stepped in, letting the hot water, steam and bubbles heat us up and give the illusion that it was actually summer and not the end of October, almost November.

“This is the kind of cold I like.”

Joe laughed and said next time he took me skiing he’d make sure there was a hot tub for me to sit in and watch. We chinked our glasses together as Joe said, “To us Ella, and many more adventures.”

“I like adventures with you champ.” I replied kissing him full on the lips.

Chapter Twenty-One

Winter came and our connection grew stronger still. We had settled into a comfy routine of nights spent at Joe’s apartment exploring each other, weekends with Chris and Robyn eating take aways and watching Netflix whilst Joe and I cuddled on the sofa, Chris sprawled on the floor and Robyn took up our only armchair. Things were pretty much perfect.

“You still coming to Après tonight for the fireworks?” Robyn asked me on Friday morning as I grabbed a quick piece of toast before heading out to work.

“Definitely! I’m ready to let loose and drink my weight in alcohol tonight.” I mused.

“Ha, should be a good one then, Chris is coming round to get ready with us, is Joe coming?”

“He’s not back till later tonight but he said he’ll meet us there.”

Our plans were set, we were going to get dressed up, drink until we were way too merry then watch the fireworks and dance like a bunch of lunatics. By the time Joe turned up I would be tipsy and horny and ready to drag him back to his cave for some fun.

The day flew by, Colin had aced a recent project for us and we had been given a fantastic review in the pre

ss as a result of his genius. Parker Hayes was on the up.

I missed Joe when I was at work and often found myself daydreaming at my desk about him so I decided to send him an email so I’d know he would be thinking about me too.

I attached a link to a YouTube video of the song and pressed the send button. Ten minutes I had a reply that made my heart flutter.

As five o’clock rolled around I fired down my computer and called across to Chris to get his ass in gear so he could catch a lift back to ours with me.

“Fireworks tonight baby,” he danced his way over to my desk, “In the pub, in the bedroom, hell if I know you there’ll be fireworks all damn night between you and that machine of a man of yours.”

“You better believe it!” I growled. “Nothing but fireworks for me from now on.
