He shuffled his feet nervously. Oh hell was he building up to asking me out again? I hoped not, maybe the chest rub had been a step too far.

“It’s my night off but I’m heading to the club still to…you know…kick back.”

“Yeah, kick back…is that what they call it now?” I chuckled.

“Wanna come with me? Not as a date, just to…I don’t know get out the house?”

I was going to knock him back straight away but the thought of escaping the four walls that were keeping me prisoner right now sounded way too appealing.

“Won’t Luca cut your balls off for defying an order?” I asked raising my eye brows and expecting him to say yes and change his mind.

“He’ll be there too, working. I don’t see why it’d be a problem. It’s not like I’m taking you somewhere that isn’t safe. The clubs full of our security.”

I was shuffling past him and heading through the door to my room to change before I’d even given him my answer.

“I’m in, give me twenty minutes to change and freshen up then I’m all yours.”

I hollered over my shoulder, then I flew up the stairs and burst into my room flinging open the wardrobe doors. I knew just the outfit to wear, it was a silver crystal encrusted mini dress. It was off the shoulder and would cling to every curve I had. Gina had also brought a pai

r of silver Jimmy Choo’s and a silver clutch bag that was too cute to be kept hidden away in this room. These items needed to be worn in a public place, it would be a crime not to showcase them.

Twenty minutes later my big bouncing chocolate curls hung around my bare shoulders and down my back, the dress sparkled like the stars I’d just been gazing at and my smoky eye shadow complimented the silver outfit and made me feel daring and risqué. I was ready to hit the dancefloor and cause some serious mayhem.

“Woah! You look hot Chloe.”

Vinnie stared at me with his mouth hung open looking like a fool as I walked down the stairs. I had to take each step slowly in case I fell ass over tit in the skyscraper high Jimmy Choo heels. To him it probably looked like I was making some grand sexy entrance.

“We do make a good pair don’t we!” I made it to the bottom step without incident then snaked my arm through Vinnie’s then we made our way to the door.

I was playing with fire being flirty with him like this but knowing Luca would see us at the club I couldn’t stop myself. I was a sucker for punishment; always had been and Luca deserved having my sassiness rubbed in his nonchalant, dismissive, gorgeous face.

In Vinnie’s car I played around with the music, skipping over hard rock, heavy metal and rap until I found the perfect song to complement my mood.

“Great! Chick music.” Vinnie complained as Demi Lovato sung about being confident.

It was how I felt right now though and I sang along at the top of my lungs whilst Vinnie shook his head but smiled, letting me have control of his radio and his ear drums for the entire ride to the club.

Minutes later we waltzed through the entrance, past the line of clubbers waiting to get in and headed in the direction of the bar and the pumping base. This was the first time I was seeing the club itself. My last visit here had been through the back door and into Luca’s ‘lair’. The club was awesome, all gold and black with a DJ booth raised up high in the middle of the dancefloor. The bar we were stood at was mirrored with glitter and silvery gold accents. It all screamed sumptuous luxury and excess and I loved it.

Vinnie and I threw back a few shots of tequila before settling on our main drinks for the night; beer and cocktails. A few of Luca’s security guys shot disapproving glances our way but no one dared to come up and talk to us. That was until Marco spotted us and proceeded to fight his way through the crowds to give us his opinion on our night.

“What the fuck are you doing Vinnie? Do you want to get fired? You got a death wish or something?” Marco stood with his back to me as if I wasn’t even there.

“If Luca sees you here with her he’ll skin you alive.”

“That’s a bit dramatic don’t you think Marc?” I was goading him now, pissing him off on purpose. I knew he hated me calling him Marc but I didn’t care.

“Anyway we’re only here dancing, we aren’t making out or anything.” I sipped my cocktail suggestively through the straw and gave him a cheeky wink.

Vinnie visibly swallowed and Marco growled before stalking off and throwing his parting words over his shoulder to us.

“It’s your funeral. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

I swung round to address Vinnie now, my balance going slightly squiffy with the tequila that was settling into my system.

“Is he going to run off and tell on us like a grass?”

Vinnie took a big gulp of his beer before answering.
