The fire in his eyes spoke of so much more. Possession as he claimed me completely. Love that bordered on obsession. That I knew would grow every day, and every night.
Dizzy with pleasure, I moaned brokenly as his thumb moved between us, feathering over my swollen button.
“Yes,” the word bubbled out of me unbidden. “I love you, Levi…more…”
His pulsing length ground deeper, faster, as I felt both of us about to tip over the edge.
“Maggie, my love,” he rasped, “I can’t believe how perfect you feel around me. Let me hear you, my angel.”
There was no way I could restrain myself for all the gold in the world. A deep, powerful force had overtaken me and was about to be set free.
His shaft sank impossibly deeper, the pleasure overwhelming me as his thumb fluttered faster. “Yes,” I squealed against his lips as he kissed me again.
The tension finally snapped, as I felt like I was falling. Flames licked up my spine as I shook under him, screaming my release.
It felt as if Levi had been holding himself back for some time, and was waiting for my cue before giving in to his own pleasure.
His entire body turned to stone as he ground into me fast and rough, overpowering me in a way that sent lightning and thunder through my veins.
“Maggie, angel,” he growled, kissing me so hard my lips might bruise.
Each frantic plunge inside me sent another crest of sparks through both of us. Then I felt him shudder, as his hot seed filled me with both sensation and satisfaction.
Levi collapsed on top of me, both of us still panting and moaning, reveling in the unbelievable closeness.
Then he quickly rolled to the side, his eyes huge and remorseful. “My darling, I’m so sorry. Did I confine you too much?”
I shook my head, laughter bubbling out of me along with relief. “Not at all.”
His dramatic sigh made me laugh even more. “You’ll tell me if I ever cage you in too closely?”
“Yes, I will.” I paused, then forced myself to whisper, “In fact, I think I liked that part.”
His dark eyes shone as he grinned. “I’ll be sure to remember that.”
My hand grazed his cheek, as he caught my thumb between his teeth. “I love you,” I said simply.
His eyes blazed. “I love you, wife.”
He slipped the covers over us, pulling my back to his chest as if we were two spoons in the silverware case. His lips nuzzled my ear as he whispered, “You know I would never take a girl from her home deliberately. But this has been the best accident that has ever happened to me.”
“Me too.” I turned to kiss him again. “If we have this much excitement in our first month together, imagine what the future will hold.”
“No,” he chuckled, as his arms tightened around my stomach, “Let’s be perfectly boring for a little while.”
“Mmm. Fine.”
Although I knew there was no chance of that happening, it was a nice thought for the moment.
With an uncharted love like ours, I knew we were sure to end up wherever the winds took us.

It was always grand to be back in Tegarren Point. After so many years at sea, it was always wonderful to come back home every week or two. I couldn’t stand being away from Maggie long, but it was too difficult to travel far with a toddler on board, not to mention unsafe.
