“You’re gonna dance with me, right?” he asked, hooking his foot around Jayme’s calf under the table.

Jayme chuckled quietly and shook his head. “I don’t dance.”

“Aw, come on. For real?”

“Nope. You will not catch me dead out on the dance floor.”

“That’s bullshit. What about if your drunk?”

Jayme smirked. “If I’m drunk? Then you might be able to get me to stand out there with you.”

He snorted. “I guess I’ll take what I can get. I’ll just use you as a pole.”

Jayme laughed.

A few minutes later, the lights dimmed low and a voice came over the speakers; announcing the start of the show. Jayme glanced at him with a cocked eyebrow. Jayme was in for a treat. They were sitting right next to the dance floor, which meant they had a great view for the show.

The show started with all the drag queens coming out and doing a number together. Then after that was over, they each took center stage by themselves. One queen in particular took an extra special liking to Jayme. She hung all over him, even sat in his lap while she sang. Tripp was highly amused. Jayme was enjoying it too, and even slipped a couple of dollars down the front of her shirt.

“Oh, honey! You are making my night. Mmm. You are the cutest,” she gushed and pinched Jayme’s cheek.

She got up from his lap and finished her set. He couldn’t help but watch Jayme, who had the biggest smile he’d ever seen on his face. Jayme was relaxed and happy, and it was a beautiful look on him. Longing twisted his stomach. He had to stop with this, or he would lose Jayme. They’d have to go back to being just friends, and he didn’t want that.

After the drag show was over, the music got louder; and people started hitting the dance floor. Tripp was squirming in his seat. He wanted to dance. He wanted to dance with Jayme, even if Jayme only stood there while he danced around him.

“Come on, Jayme. Come dance with me.” He tried.

Jayme shook his head. “You go ahead.”

“I want to dance with you.”

Jayme gave him a pained look. “I’m a sucky dancer. I really don’t want to make a fool of myself, Tripp.”

“You can’t be that bad.”

“No rhythm whatsoever.”

“Yeah, but if you have fun doing it, what does it matter?”

“It’s not fun to me. I just look stupid.”

“Who told you that?”

“No one.”

“Then how do you know you look stupid? That’s all in your head.”

Jayme shrugged, and took a sip of his beer. Dammit. He really wasn’t going to budge. Someone tapped Tripp’s shoulder. Jayme frowned. He turned to look up at the handsome face of the man standing next to him. The man had dark hair and dark eyes.

“Hey. Do you wanna dance?” the man asked him.

He looked to Jayme. Jayme motioned for him to go ahead, even though he didn’t look pleased. He smiled and stood. At least he was getting to dance with someone, and not all by himself.

The guy’s name was Alex, and he was a sexy dancer. He was all over him. At first, he tried to keep some distance between them for Jayme’s sake; but he eventually gave up when Alex kept pulling Tripp against him. He snuck glances at Jayme and saw that he was silently fuming, and racking up the beer bottles.

It was about the sixth song, and Alex turned Tripp around so he could grind against his ass. Alex placed his hand on his throat and tilted his head back while he nibbled his ear. His other hand was low on his stomach. He had to admit that the guy was hot, and he was mildly turned on.

He glanced over to find Jayme storming toward them. Jayme grabbed his bicep, and yanked him away from Alex; and gave the other man a shove.

“That’s enough of that,” Jayme barked.

Alex held his hands up to ward off Jayme’s wrath. “All right, man. My bad.” Alex walked away, finding someone else to dance with in the crowd.

Jayme wrapped an arm around Tripp’s waist, and tugged him in close. Tripp smiled, and draped his arms around Jayme’s neck. “I’m sorry, were you jealous?”

“Dude was all over you, knowing you were here with me.” Jayme practically snarled.

“I didn’t think we were on a date,” he murmured teasingly, leaning in close so his lips brushed Jayme’s.

“We’re not on a date,” Jayme replied just loud enough to be heard over the music.

“It’s kinda like a date.” He grinned.

“No, it’s not. And still, it doesn’t mean some random guy can put his hands all over you when you’re here with me.”

He kissed Jayme languidly, reveling in the feel of their tongues sliding together. He loved that Jayme was jealous. It meant there were some feelings there, even if Jayme wouldn’t admit it.
