“It’s the same thing. It’s just another word for it,” she snapped. She snatched her hand from his and dragged it through her hair in annoyance.

“Really?” He smirked, “See, I always thought the word muff referred to a lady’s nether region.”

“Oh, dear God, this is not happening,” she muttered. She dropped her heated face into her palms and began to pant, then tensed her upper body when she felt the pressure of his hand on her back, rubbing in small circular motions.

“Breathe, Juliet. Breathe,” he whispered.

With a large inhale of breath and an even larger exhale, she started to relax as she focused her mind on his hand when he added slightly more pressure. That feels so nice. “Your hand feels amazing, Kai keep doing that. Oh yes, just there,” she found herself saying aloud, raising her head with her eyes still firmly shut. She heard a snort, followed by a loud tutting. Forcing her eyes open she was met with the face of the passenger in front, who had turned around and was glaring at them through the gaps between the seat.

“Could you be a bit more discreet? The flight has only just taken off!” Grimaced the stern-faced man.

“His hand, it Uhm, was just …massaging me,” stuttered Myla. That sounds so wrong, so fucking wrong!

“I’m sure it was, but there is a time and a place for carry on like that young lady and that is not here,” he snapped then turned back around in his seat.

Great! The dirty git thought the worst! “Excuse me, but—” She felt a hand clamp down on her arm as she unbuckled her belt and attempted to lean over towards the passenger and give him a piece of her mind. Turning, with wild eyes, she scrunched her face up, disgruntled with Kai. “Thank you so much for correcting the situation, he thinks you were, you were…”

“I was what?” He asked. His eyes held steady on her face, as he sat with a smug look. He watched her nostrils flare, she parted her lips and her tongue flickered out like a serpent. “I’m waiting,” he goaded. She dropped herself back into her seat, still firing imaginary knives at his head.

“Forget it!”

Resting his head on her shoulder, he whispered, “With all the talk of muff and you saying oh yes, Kai, just there is it any wonder the dude thought something was going on?”

Raising her shoulder up sharply she knocked his head free from its resting place. “I didn’t see you rectifying the situation,” she spat with contempt.

Kai denied her with a response and racked his brains for something else to talk about. Myla sat glaring out through the small window into the darkness of the night, imagining all the different ways she could kill him over the coming week.

“Is this how the whole of next week is going to be? You sulking and in a mood and me wishing I was anywhere else, but with you?” Kai suddenly asked, breaking the silence.

“Did you do your homework?” she replied flatly, ignoring his question.

“As much as I could, I’m intrigued to know why I’m called Rhett Butler?” he asked as he turned his head sideways to look at her.

Turning her head to look at him she let out a small laugh. “It’s from my favorite film.”

His eye lids rose showing the honey swirls in his brown eyes more clearly. “Your favorite film is Gone with The Wind?” he asked, excitement peaked in his tone.

“Yes.”

“Well, blow me down. It’s mine too. I love that film. Scarlett O’Hara is so beautiful in it, I love the way she portrays Vivien,” he replied.

“Your favorite film is Gone with The Wind? Are you winding me up?”

His smile faded and a frown replaced it. “Why? Are men not allowed to like romantic films? Do you think they are only made for women to enjoy?”

She sat opening and shutting her mouth like a fish, words failed her. She limply shook her head.

“What’s your second favorite film?” He asked.

“Uhm, Titanic,” she offered. She bent down to her bag and retrieved some gum. Taking two she shoved one in Kai’s direction and flung the remainder back in her bag.

“Titanic huh? Let me guess, you fell in love with Jack, hated Rose when he died, then cried at the end when they were reunited in spirit back aboard the Titanic?” He mused as he shoved the stick of gum in his mouth.

“Well, who didn’t hate Rose? Selfish bitch took up all that piece of raft, she could have moved her butt over and let him climb on too, instead she let him freeze to death in the water, then dropped his body to the bottom of the ocean like a sack of shit when rescue came,” she ranted.

Kai let out a hearty laugh. “You do realize that the love story wasn’t real, it was made up for the film?”

“I may be many things, Romeo, but dumb is not one of them. Of course, I knew it wasn’t real, but that whole scene really got my back up.”
