His body began to shake and the rumble of his laughter built up and spilled from his lips. “Got ya. Lesson number one, you won’t fool me.”

“You’re a real asshole, Kai.” She retorted with a smile then connected her lips to his. They moved in perfect sync with each other, he tightened his hold on her behind and she slid her fingers through his hair. He exhaled loudly when she slowly broke apart from him. “I give in. I’m your bitch,” she whispered as she loosened her fingers from his hair and lightly tapped his cheek. With a wink and a sly smile, she removed his hands from her backside and walked towards the house.

With a silent fist pump into the air, Kai followed behind her.

“Oh, thank god you’re here,” said Grace before they had even made their way inside the door.

“Grab some of these rolls, Grace please. Take them to the summer house,” she ordered.

“Is this going to be enough material, Myla?” Grace asked as she eye-balled the rolls in her hands.

“It’s going to have to be, it’s all I could get. Worst case scenario, you’ll have to wear a knee length dress instead of a full gown,” Myla stated with a sympathetic shrug.

Moving through the house towards the back, Victoria clasped her hands together when her eyes fell on to the material. “I’ve gathered everything I could find. It’s all in the summer house, I even found an old mannequin of yours.”

“Thanks,” Myla mumbled battling herself through the patio doors and into the garden. She winced when she spotted the dress adorning the washing line. Stopping to look at it, she placed the material onto the patio table and grabbed a long stick.

“Grace,” she hollered prodding the stick into the dress, “get the scissors.”

“Wow. What a way to ruin a beautiful dress,” sniggered Kai walking past in the direction of the summer house.

“Here you go, M, one pair of scissors,” she smiled and held them out in her direction.

Looking at the scissors, then the dress then back to Grace she raised her eyebrows, “I don’t think so, darling sister. This is your dress, your mess, so you will cut it,” said Myla pointing the stick at the dress. “Cut there, four centimeters from the bodice join, try and make sure the cut is as straight as possible.”

“You expect me to get close to it and cut it?” Grace asked shocked raking her new French manicured nails through her hair.

“Well, you can jog on if you think I’m doing it. I’ve already cut my hot sex session short, and I’m giving up my day plus forfeiting the rehearsal dinner tonight, to sit and make you another dress, so either cut it or get married in a tracksuit, the choice is yours.”

“Okay!” Forcing a smile on to her face she slowly walked towards the dress with the scissors held out in front of her, as though she was about to partake in a duel.

“I don’t have all day, Grace,” snapped Myla.

Myla sniggered as she watched her stop a foot away from the dress and lean the top half of her body forward towards it. “You can’t cut it from that distance, get closer,” ordered Myla prodding her in the back with the stick and, jolting her forward.

Grace gagged when the putrid stench hit her nasal passages. Dropping the scissors, she turned and shook her head. “I can’t do it, M, it stinks.”

“It’s only a bit of shit, yours to be precise, pick up the scissors and cut it, Grace,” laughed Kai who had come to a standstill behind My

la “you can do this, have some faith.”

Nodding, she picked up the scissors, took a deep breath and attacked the dress with gusto. She danced with joy when the bottom half fell away from the bodice.

“See, that wasn’t so hard, was it?” smiled Myla.

“No, you’re right. It wasn’t,” she declared with a grin and headed back to them. “Are you going to get ready?” she asked Kai.

“Uhm, ready? Ready for what?”

“Oh, it’s sports in the park, an old family tradition before a wedding. It’s my family versus Jack’s family. You’ll be on our side to even out the numbers.”

Oh joy. How I can’t wait! “I was thinking of staying here and keeping Myla company,” he replied feeling deflated.

“I don’t think so lover boy. She has a dress to make before tomorrow, with you here, you’ll just be a distraction,” Grace replied and glared at Kai sternly.

“I think I’ll give it a miss,” he responded nuzzling his nose into Myla’s neck. She chuckled when he muttered lowly in into her ear.
