Perfect Strangers

With a quick glance around the room, he silently prayed that he would be able to get through this wedding without killing Victoria and without Myla finding out he’d already had words with her mother. His sole focus was now leading towards getting the hell out of Florida and back home to London, with Myla still by his side. “Move your ass, now!” She ordered with a wide smile.
“Fucking hell Myla, if only you were this domineering in bed,” he muttered as he slammed the door behind him.
“Just you wait until later, boy,” she replied flirtatiously. Interlocking her fingers in his, she lead him towards the stairs.
CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE
She stood with the other bridesmaids off to the side of Grace. Her eyes prickling with tears as she watched her sister take her vows. She looked stunning and she mentally patted herself on the back and added a silent congratulations on a job well done with the dress. In her eyes, it was better than the original dress, but she wouldn’t dream of saying that aloud, not without a drink inside of her anyway.
Grace had needed a sisterly pep talk early hours of this morning, as second thoughts and nerves had consumed her entire being. She was convinced that by marrying Jack, she was going to lose herself, lose the identity of who she was. Then came the barrage of tears and she cried that she wasn’t going to turn up today and jilt him at the altar. Within a few hours and several bottles of wine later, Myla had managed to completely turn it all around, leaving Grace agitated and cussing about how many more hours were left until she would become Jack’s wife.
Then in her drunken state, Grace had suggested that she and Rhett get married too. She knew the vicar well and said if she had a word in his ear he would be more than happy marrying Myla to Rhett, straight after their service. Myla laughed it off, but now as she stood there in the church a voice started to taunt in her head, when will it be your turn Myla? Her eyes slowly panned along the front row until they came to a standstill on him. He was engrossed in the service, listening intently to the vows that were taking place.
He looks so handsome. She felt a flutter start up in the depths of her gut and a warm feeling spread throughout her body as her mind wandered back to that night in the bar, the night they met. If she hadn’t begged him to be part of this ludicrous scheme of hers, she would be here single, alone, and miserable.
Avery, I owe you big time for shagging Stavros and him owning an art studio. In the short time, she had known Kai he had broken through so many of her barriers and literally turned everything in her life, upside down. She just prayed that they continued to get on just as well when they were both back on home soil and both sets of friends were thrown in the mix.
Clapping brought her from her thoughts, she turned to see Jack and Grace take their first kiss as man and wife. The kiss should have been banned, it was completely unholy. Myla looked on dumbfounded. They chewed each other’s face’s off, tongues and moans coming into the mix and Jack’s hands squeezing her ass. Every time Jack pulled away, Grace would throw herself back to him.
Myla shook her head with a smile and glanced back towards Kai. He was staring inquisitively at her, his look was dark, brooding and sexy, his eyes radiating that of pure unadulterated lust and she felt herself miss a heartbeat. His lips curled into a devastating smile that had her body jolt and she clenched her thighs tightly together. The small act hadn’t gone unnoticed and he raised his eyebrows questioningly with his smile turning into a smirk.

His breath hit the back of her neck and his arm slipped around her waist, pulling her into his chest. “I can’t think straight knowing you’re walking around with no underwear on,” he whispered into her ear and his hand shimmied up the back of her thigh.
Downing her glass of champagne and still smiling and nodding at the mingling guests before her, she pressed herself back into his groin, “Only another five hours to go, then we can slip away, unnoticed.”
“I can’t wait another five hours, Juliet. You’re killing me,” he grumbled, his hand continuing to roam her clothed body.
Placing her empty glass down on the tray of the passing waiter, a sly smile formed on her mouth and she turned herself around to face him. “Are you begging me?” She asked sternly. Crossing her arms under her chest only proved to further enhance her breasts as they pushed higher and his eyes widened.
“Do you want me to beg?” He panted. He closed the stifling space between them, his chest now flush with hers.
A thrill ripped through her when she imagined having Kai completely at her mercy, on his knees at her feet, naked and begging her to open her legs. The blood around her body suddenly gathered in one place and she became acutely aware of the dull throbbing taking place between her legs. Leaning his mouth down to her ear, he lightly grazed her lobe between his teeth, “Now you’ve imagined that scenario, tell me, are you wet for me?”
Suddenly she could breathe again when he dropped his hand from the tantalizing circles he had been tracing on her hip and took a step away from her. “We have company,” he stated, slightly pissed off and snatched another glass of champagne from the passing waiter.
Turning around Myla broke out into a wide smile as Grace came bowling towards her. “So how does it feel to be married?” She asked. Grace pulled her into a bone-shattering hug.
“You know what? It’s no different,” she laughed and pulled away.
“I want to know when it’s your turn?” She pouted clasping her hands in Myla’s.
“My turn? Well Uhm….”
“Have you not told her yet?” Questioned Kai, who came to stand next to Myla.
Turning her head to look at him, her brows furrowed and her face wore a confused frown, “Told her?”
“Yes, told her we have set a date. We plan to marry next May, the 31st to be exact.”
Grace shrieked and jumped up and down on the spot, excitedly. “That’s fucking brilliant,” she said. Myla mentally stabbed him, straight in the eye.
“Let me go tell dad, he’ll be made up you’re finally making an honest woman out of her.” Myla stood feeling confused as she watched her push through the crowd of guests in search of their father.
Spinning sideways to look at him, she grabbed his arm and dragged him to another corner of the room. “What the hell are you playing at?” She hissed.
“What have I said wrong now?”
