“Keys,” he grunted.

Grayson hesitated. “They’re in the car.”

Aaron was drooping, his eyelids fluttering as he began to lose consciousness.

“Trevor! You won, let him go! Now!”

Trevor dragged Aaron the few more feet to the car, then threw him to the ground.

As he got into the car and revved the engine he yelled out, “Thanks for the final fuck, baby. It was awesome!”

I rolled my eyes as I hurried over to Aaron while Trevor sped away.

I rolled Aaron onto his side and cleared his airway.

He was breathing fine and would come back to us in a few moments, though his throat looked bruised and he’d be sore when he woke up.

“I should chase him down, kill him for what he did to you,” Grayson said, though I could see he was torn whether to leave us.

I played on that need.

“I know. But we need you here. What if other bear shifters come and attack?”

Grayson nodded and for the first time I noticed his nakedness.

And Dexter’s… Damn.

“Ah… how are we going to get out of here now?”

Aaron woke up slowly and groaned. “Nevaeh… God, what did he do to your face?”

I sat down on the ground, wincing as I did, pulling Aaron’s head into my lap.

“Nothing he hasn’t done before.”

Dexter and Taylor stepped close in human form and I tried not to look at their nude bodies, though I couldn’t help noticing that Claire was as lucky as I was in that department.

“We’ll go. Get a car and come back to you. If you’re lucky, though, Jay may have beaten us. He should return from the hospital to check on us once he’s dropped Brad off.”

Grayson shook hands with the other Alpha. “Thanks, Dex. We’ll be here waiting for you.”

Dexter and Taylor shifted into incredibly beautiful silver and black wolves and took off.

“Whoa, that’s incredible.”

Gra

yson squatted down beside me. “Why aren’t you more freaked out with us shifting? Dexter said Claire practically had a heart attack the first time she saw them do it.”

I swallowed hard. “Well, I’d seen Trevor shift once before. Years ago. But he threatened me, told me he’d kill me if I ever told anyone.”

“Uhhuh.” Grayson said, as though he didn’t believe me.

“It’s true, Grayson. I promise.”

He looked me dead in the eyes. “Well, sweetheart, I think we have a lot to talk about, don’t you?”

I nodded, a sinking feeling hitting me across the chest.
