Savage Saints (Monsters of Saint Mark's) - Page 141

Then I move my hips forward, press the tip of my cock against her gushing, wet opening, and slip inside my love.

She wraps her hands around my neck. Burying her face into my shoulder. Like she’s holding on for dear life.

And then I fuck her slowly.

I fuck her like we have all the time in the world.

I fuck her like she’s mine and mine alone.

CHAPTER THIRTY – TOMAS

I’m jittery with excitement as I drive the truck into town for the hunt. Just thinking about it makes me practically cackle. I’m just about to pass the feed store—my plans were to go straight to Big Jim’s—when I notice that my dear Madeline is in the parking lot. I swing the truck in and come to a stop along the side of the building.

When I open my door to hop out, the dear girl is already there. Waiting for me.

“I thought you were going on the hunt tonight,” she says.

I step down from the truck and take her in my arms, pulling her close. “I am. But I was passing by and saw you, so I stopped here first.”

“I was just helping a customer load some wood shavings.”

“Are you coming tonight?”

“Nah.” She reaches up and pushes a wayward lock of dark hair away from my face. “It’s a guy thing. They don’t want women there. And even if they did, I still wouldn’t go. I can think of nothing less fun than traipsing around in the woods during a full moon, looking for monsters. I mean, who does that?”

“Me?”

She laughs and playfully slaps my chest. “You’re only going because you think you have to in order to fit in. You don’t, by the way.” She lowers her chin a little, and looks at me coyly. “Need to fit in, I mean.”

“I can’t recall a single time in my life when I did fit in.” This would’ve been a true statement a couple weeks ago, but tonight it feels like a lie. “Well, that’s not true. I actually do fit in.”

“Ya do?”

“Not here.” I wave a hand around to indicate Granite Springs. “But back at my sanctuary. I mean, I have always been at home there. My only home, actually. But recently there’s been a lot of changes.”

“What kind of changes?” Madeline’s eyes are bright and curious.

“New… people. Mostly. Lots of them, actually.”

“Family? Or friends?”

“Both, I think.”

“Your place sounds nice. I really would like to see it some time.”

“I would love for you to see it.”

“Maybe tomorrow?” She’s lit up with excitement.

“I’ll see what’s going on. Maybe I can swing it. What are you doing tonight, Madeline?”

“Oh, I’m just going home.”

“I would love to see your home as well. Maybe I could stop by afterward?”

“Oh”—she laughs—“trust me. Big Jim and Russ Roth will be out there in those woods until they find their monster or until the sun comes up. One of the two. And, well, you know. Finding monsters is kind of a needle in a haystack thing.”

“Maybe they’ll get lucky? Maybe they’ll run into their monster early and this whole hunt business will be over in a matter of hours?”
