The Partner Dilemma

Chapter Six
Skye
After our conversation in the kitchen, Blaine leads me to a room where I will be staying while we get to know each other. My mind is reeling with all the thoughts and questions running through my mind.
Three Partners? How will that even work? And with everything happening in the world, why would any man want to share his Partner? This entire situation doesn’t make any sense. Sitting on the bed, I look around the room.
This room is decorated in a similar fashion as the main bedroom. Dark wood furniture and white bedding, with an en-suite bathroom and a massive picture window overlooking the entire neighborhood. The view is breathtaking. The sun has fully set, and the night sky is littered with millions of little stars.
It would be perfect if only I couldn’t hear the three men downstairs arguing.
“Why did you tell her she could have time to get to know us?”one asks.
“Because it was the right thing to do. She was fucking terrified!”I recognize Blaine’s voice. “We need to wait until she is comfortable with us. If we don’t, she will never trust us.”
There is silence for a long moment before another voice speaks.
“The worst part is that I know you’re right. But standing here, all I can think is that we have waited years for this, and I don’t want to wait any longer.”
“I know. But we have to,”the other voice replies.
Shortly after, I hear a door slam before a car engine starts. I listen to the car as it drives away until I can’t hear it anymore. There aren’t any other voices from down below and the house has gone completely quiet. It feels strange to sit here, waiting for someone to make a noise. This isn’t my home, but I am now living here.
An hour later, when I still haven’t heard any voices, I decide to leave my room. I’m not a captive, after all. This is my home too. Besides, I am kind of hungry. So, I head downstairs toward the kitchen. Now that all my attention is no longer focused on the three muscular men who were filling the room earlier, I can appreciate how beautiful it is.
Dark wood cupboards, chrome finishings and appliances, and gleaming white marble countertops. A six-burner stove and massive double-door fridge, with a cute breakfast nook large enough to seat six. Glass sliding doors lead out to the pool area and massive lawn.
For long moments, I stare out into the backyard and imagine what my life could be like here. Kamden, Blaine, and Deklan all seem like they could be nice people. A little intense, but not bad. Thinking through what I have seen so far, it makes sense that there are so many rooms. If I am going to have sex with three different men, I will be having a lot of babies.
The thought of any of them touching me sends a shiver down my spine. My nipples pebble and my pulse races. What the hell is happening to me? Shaking my head, I turn back toward the fridge. A small gasp escapes me as I open the doors, finding all of my favorite ingredients. When I filled out the questionnaire, I never expected my Partner to actually care about my preferences.
But as I move around the kitchen, opening cupboards, I find that most of the items they have stocked are my favorite or something I put on the list that I knew I could cook well. Heat blooms in my chest, knowing that they went through so much trouble for me.
Smiling, I turn back toward the fridge, remove some items, and start to cook. The least I can do after they went to all this trouble is serve them a meal.

Deklan
We drove around for two hours. Not in any particular direction or with any destination in mind. None of us spoke. We were all lost in our own thoughts. I couldn’t get my mind out of the gutter or my cock to simmer down. I kept seeing Skye, kneeling in the middle of our bed.
God, she is a breathtaking, little thing. I can’t wait to get my hands on her, to feel her tiny body beneath me. But I’m terrified to touch her. I’m a big motherfucker, all over, and I sure as shit don’t want to scare or hurt her.
“Let’s go home,” Blaine says before pointing the truck back in that direction. “Skye is probably fast asleep, and we look like a couple of stalkers driving in circles for no good reason.”
“Yeah,” I agree.
The drive back is just as silent, but a different energy has filled the truck. We are all excited, anticipating seeing Skye again.
The lights inside our house are all burning as we get closer. Blaine accelerates the closer we get and basically skids into our driveway. Luckily, all the children are already indoors. How could we just leave her alone? I know we live in the safest part of our city, but to leave her unprotected? How could we be so stupid? This is a new place, after all. She could be scared, or worse, hurt.
The truck has barely come to a stop before all three of us are out and barreling toward the front door. I don’t doubt that my brothers are thinking the same things I am. But what greets us as we storm into the house has all three of us frozen in our tracks.
